how to enable Hybrid CrossfireX???

Im trying to enable crossfireX and im reading my gigabyte manual which states that:

set internal gfx to UMA + Sideport
Set UMA framebuffer to 256mb
Surroundview disable
Display first onboard

I did those things, opened up CCC with my onboard running and no crossfire. Also used my ati 4850.

So am i missing something?

 

If you're trying to crossfire a 4850 with your onboard, you can't do that. They won't work together.

So i cant use it at all??? Whats the point of it....

 

No you can't use it at all. It's meant to be used with a 3400, I think. Certainly not a 4850 though. You wouldn't want to anyway. Your 4850 is faster than the Hybrid crossfire would be.

 

ok it would be cool if the igp could be used as 2D mode though. Atleast something..
