if u guys look closely its not only a 120mm rad its a hybrid cooler with probably some vapour chambers and heat pipes as well.

They should just call it Radeon R9 295X2 Mandingo...

I don't think that would fit in my case.

I can't see temps being below 90 unless the ambient is 15c

1500$ sounds like quite a bit too much if it's true. Compared to the 6990 it seems like the price has gone up just as much as the performance (well, just an assumption of course, since we don't know the actual performance yet). Maybe it won't be marketed toward gamers, just like the Titan Z. I'd rather get two single GPU cards for more performance and lower price.

TDP doesn't have anything to do with power draw. It means Thermal Design Power, which is how much heat in watts it produces.

Also, I'm pretty sure that radiator will do fine. The only reason the R9 290's were so hot in the first place was the terrible stock cooler. Once custom cooling came out they dropped into the average range. Keep in mind that water is much better at moving heat away than air as well, and I think the temp will be kept in check. But time will tell.

Special installation skills needed: Hell yeah, already obtained thanks to accelero.

Thing about TDP is clocks, our normal cards are not on efficient inflection point, they are factory clocked at higher clocks where TDP is way above necessity.
People are already increasing TDP limit to +20% to gain 5-10% OC and it's quite usual to see +50% TDP to gain 20% OC.

Therefore my guess is: Lower Clocks
And that 1 poor radiator may be for engineering samples and targeted for 94°C as is reference design of single core.
