Dishonored is a brilliant stealth game in the vein of Thief but with magical powers. I doubt you will be disappointed with it unless you hate that genre. Tomb Raider is also a good game... while it lasts but it's over too quickly so unless you enjoy multiplayer then there isn't a lot of longevity to the game and if you do everything the first time then there's little or no reason to replay it. Personally, I would go for Dishonored if you can only afford one.
Not really into Multiplayer at all. (Apart from Raiding with 10 Guildies in WoW ) I think i go with Dishonored, i like slow gameplay. And i can afford more, just not really into wasting money if it's over soon or i don't like it. (Been watching some Dishonored Let's Play and i'm really liking what i see.)
I personally didn't like Rage. It had very spotty AI and pretty boring gunplay, plus there was a ton of getting from A to B missions that just grinded.
Rage is just a first person shooter. The setting is comparable but there's no real rpg mechanics or anything.
RAGE is a very underrated game in my view. The gameplay is actually very good, the shooting mechanics are solid and fun, the weapons enjoyable to use and the addition of vehicle combat and racing adds variety to it. It's also a very stylish looking game so long as you don't look too closely at the indoor textures. It's very Borderland-ish actually. For €5 I don't think you can go wrong with it. It's a huge 20 GB+ game though.
Don't bother it's terrible, I couldn't even bring myself to keep playing it On another note up to £8 in getting rid of these cards
OK, I just had an inner war whether or not to get Shogun 2 Total collection, but I realized that between Civ 5 Gold, COH complete and Napoleon: TW complete; that I will have no time for it, especially with Rome II coming out. Anyways, here's my complete list of purchases and damage this sale: Nexus: The Jupiter Incident = $3.49 Just Cause 2 + All DLC's = $4.72 Left 4 Dead 2 (I regret this one) = $4.99 Bully: Scholarship Edition (I asked for a refund on this) = $3.74 Civilization 5 Gold = $12.49 Company of Heroes: Complete Pack = $7.49 Deus Ex: Human Revolution + all DLC's = $4.47 Half Life 2 + all Episodes = $6.47 Knights of the Old Republic 2 = $3.39 L.A. Noire: Complete (all DLC's) = $5.74 Napoleon: Total War Collection (all DLC's) = $7.49 Portal 1 and Portal 2 = $6.24 Universe Sandbox (gifted it to someone) = $1.99 Spec Ops: The Line = $6.74 Total Games: 21 (inc. major expansions) Total damage: $79.45 Have to sell first born? = Just the Kidney Not bad, I have more than enough to keep me entertained for the next year easily. And all this for less than the Simcity Deluxe Edition disaster.
Not bad at all. Here's my haul: ArmA 2: CO - 8.50 Borderlands 2 (Gift) - 10.19 Borderlands 2 Season Pass - 10.19 Just Cause - 27 cents Hitman Absolution - 6.24 System Shock 2 - 2.50 Amazon stuff: Fireaxis Complete Pack (Civ IV complete, Civ V Gold, XCOM: Enemy Unknown) - $20 Tomb Raider - 10.15 Total - ~70
So far i'm liking Dishonored I had to apply the inspector flags to get rid of the nasty ingame Anti-Aliasing tho, but it looks great now.
I liked the art direction on it, if you didn't go up close to look at the textures, some areas did look down right beautiful in a brutal artistic way imo.
Dishonored £5.09 Deadlight ~£2 Dragonborn/Dawnguard £6.99 each Deus Ex ~£2.50 So not too bad in the end.
I ended up buying Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, War of the Roses: Kingmaker (both of sheer curiosity, more than anything else) and Age of Empires III Complete Edition ten minutes before the sale ended. I was surprised to find that Age of Empires III is 8 years old though as it seems to still be a very solid game, granted the visuals are a little dated and chunky.
Ended up buying Tomb Raider, Postal 1, Bully, Rayman and System shock 2 Also up to £10.50 on these cards now, personally I didn't see the need for them and nor do I see the need for this level up stuff
Got quite a number of games: CS: GO, Call of Juarez Gunslinger, Tomb Raider, Hitman Absolution, Surgeon Simulator and DLCs which I didn't have yet for Sleeping Dogs, Borderlands 2, Skyrim and Dishonored. Total money spent was something arround 50-60 euros, not bad for the playtime I will get.
Tried the Demo of Gunslinger, but it didn't really like how the game played. The art style was cool tho.
