Decided to do 2 videos, but this is awesome.

#1 This is my computer specs and my settings are in NCP and in Nvidia Tray tools which i am also using.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvPKwpiRq2E
As you can see i have everything set the highest settings.

#2 This is a quick sample video i made playing NFS 2010 at Max/1920 and Nexuiz 2012 1920/Almost max, shaders i have to turn to high , everything else max. All DX9 of course.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziHph_K38MA

#3 I only tested NFS 2010 and Nexuiz , but i am running them at 1920x1080 and still able to get 50-60 all the time in NFS(depending on the stage, some stages i get 35-50) and 30-35+ in Nexuiz. Never was able to do that in vista or Windows 7.

#4 Here is the interesting thing, using the correct 550 ti drivers 267.59
this is where the increase in performance comes in to play, before i was using the newest 300 series or 290's, nah forget them, use these:

" Nvidia has released new drivers to support the newly launched GTX 550 Ti and the GTS 450. " " This driver adds support for the new GeForce GTX 550 Ti GPU "

Drivers allows me to game at 1920x1080 at max or near max with ease. Now keep in mind i am using XP, but hey anyone with a 550 ti i suggest you try out these old drivers, you may get a boost too. Let me know if you get the boost using win7 or vista or whatever you're using. I am so happy
I plan to test crysis 2 later :)

I don't have windows 8 and i have no intention on installing that horrible OS. But the 314 drivers work just fine in XP, but i could never play any of the games i tested at 1920x1024 at max and still get the performance i get. In NFS 2010 with the 314 drivers i can only play at 1600x900 at max i would get 19-35, but with the 267.59, i get 50-60 , or 45-60 all the time. Bottom line, 267.59 blows the 314 or 300 series in general out the water when it comes to performance. Sorry but i have no plans to reinstall back to win7 to do any testing.

Why in the world would someone use ancient drivers that don't have optimization for games in the last two years or don't support any GPU but the GTS 450 and the 550ti without modifying them?

I think the title says 550 users, so its really aim at them. I think i made that clear. Also about ancient drivers doesn't mean anything, i think playing NFS 2010 at the settings i am playing and getting 50-60 frames or 40-50 all the time at 1920x1080 max proves that. All because something is old, doesn't mean it may not work better than something new.

Maybe its time you understand that the latest isnt always the greatest. Even if ther are optimizations they are more often that not a few %. Taken that those few % actually work as supposed the underlying driver can differentiate more.

I gained nearly 1000 points in Unigine Valley using these drivers on low settings. However with these drivers on ultra settings I actually lost points compared to newer drivers at ultra.

It's as if older drivers were more efficient with CPU (in some cases) and newer drivers are more efficient with GPU.

I just find this hilarious that you use 3 different browsers for different purposes. So inefficient.

    Netscape for porn. Lol.

Well just in case one browser goes down, i have 2 back ups:)

Been using it for about 6 years now, no virus, no problems. Very safe and because netscape is so old , less resources, faster pages loading, um videos :wanker: Pm me if you want a copy of the bookmark i have in it

Well, it's true that all of my DX9 titles i played in my old XP install, run in fact faster on XP, compared to windows7, with latest drivers though hehe ;)

On XP it should. Infact, use any of the 270 drivers with XP vs the 300 series and you will see what Im talking about. I tested the 314 vs the 275.33 or 270.61 and the frame rate is cut in half, like 50%. So the 270 drivers work great. I also tested this in windows7 , and its horrible with any driver. Xp just gives better frame rates overall.

You use the latest drivers using XP, do that and try out the 275.33 and you will see a big difference in performance.

Don't think they work with the 600 series though :(

Just out of curiosity General are you using more than 1 monitor? Because in the video you have Multi Display Performance mode selected in Nvidia panel... If your using 1 display you should have single display performance mode enabled.

Also nice trolling, both here and the Vista thread you just made. Top trolling!

270 or 260 drivers, nah. unless someone mods them right?
Also if you're not using XP there's no need to do it, because well i tested the 260 and 270 drivers using windows 7 with my same set up and there was no change in gaming performance, like it is in Windows XP. Not saying there could of been a driver that did it, but i only tested the ones that i use and tested on xp.

Um that's the default nvidia settings, and for the longest which i have been using nvidia cards i never did change that setting. Is it going to do anything to my performance? I mean i always just left it alone.

Trolling? What are you talking about? I was using vista, but not anymore. I went back to using XP , whats the problem here?

275.33 is the first WHQL after NV made sck.775 optimizations in 270 series.
That's where perf. increase comes for you compared to 260 series.

Other than that, it just an ordinary driver. Just like 550 Ti is one among many Fermis.
I very much doubt there is any secret love between the two, or that it performs better than latest set.

In the video i was using a 260 driver, but i finally switch over to using the 275.50's which performs just like the rest of the 270's drivers , only thing it fixes my riddick AA problem. The 260 and 270 drivers all perform the same performance wise, anything above 270, the 300 cuts my performance in half about 50%.

Note: I have not tested how the 280's or 290's perform using my setup to see how the performance is yet. But the 300 series compared to the 260 or 270 is horrible.

Just more proof that all because something is new doesn't mean anything, i tested Sniper 2 last night with the 275.50 drivers, no problems whatsoever. all max at 1920x1020 high to very high settings, 30-35 frames. Doesn't seem to go any higher than that for some reason, but very smooth , no issues.

NFS 2010 and latest driver(s) - I can vouch for this one. Should play beautifully for ya too.

I don't play other games that you mention.

But with latest driver(s), the only game that I can think of that requires some additional intervention is - Sleeping Dogs. Max. pre-rendered frames = 1, because at default I get less performance and sometimes stutter.
