    First game suffered from serious lack of enemy numbers (not types, I'm talking about sheer number of zombies) to be played with anyone, along with general lack of polish so here is cautious hoping that they get it right this time.

    Aside from the human enemies you could encounter there were only something like four, maybe five different zombies no?

    Normal (Different models and behaviors though.)
    Thug (Some few different models.)
    That fat sewer thing
    That armored tanking thing (Ram?)
    Butcher (Very rare, only used towards the end of the game I believe.)

    I'm probably missing one or two.

    Suicider
    Ram
    Butcher
    Floater

    Some more types would be nice in Riptide, so long as they don't too far and take away from the tone of the game. I don't want anything stupid or silly like what Valve introduced into Left 4 Dead 2.

    The new character (Which I assume that was.) focuses on melee combat and unarmed hand-to-hand fighting from what I remember.

    The other thing is that (From what I've read at least.) this character was partially inspired by a mod for the first game which emulated fighting seen in Hokuto No Ken / Fist of the North Star manga (And anime.) with rapid punches and massive knockback.

    So that's probably the explanation.


    Either that or the default kick was simply increased in knockback for every character as people complained it wasn't very useful.
    (It made sense to me that such a move wouldn't be very powerful but maybe it impacted gameplay and added extra frustration from being trapped by a horde of flailing - stunlock and such - zombies with no way to properly escape.)

    So true..

    With different publishers/developers already having non-standardized quality requirements for Alpha, Beta and Gold_what_now, Over that they change status as per their own wish with a flick of a button(or a mail) when the release date comes near.

    So 99% of the time expect what ever you see near the release date(as in before 6 months time), as what one would be playing on their screen at release date.

    That gameplay trailer was pretty underwhelming. That quest had the potential to be pretty cool, but you're essentially forced to put certain items in certain places. If you could fence off any area you wished, or place the mini-guns anywhere it would have made for a much more interesting mission.
