This benchmark proved Pascal GPUs can gain performance with DX12 and asynchronous compute unlike some other DX12 games that were only optimized for AMD.
Guru needs to show Graphics Score, that powerful mega Intel CPU heavily skews the overall score upwards.
Yeah well who could have predicted AMD was going to rebrand that card for 2 more generations? That's the main reason for its longevity, AMD can't afford to not support it properly. Awesome for the consumer however.
Considering Maxwells were still dx11 GPUs, how do you suppose studios would have made Nvidia dx12 optimised games when there were no Nvidia dx12 GPUs around? Nvidia optimised games were consequently dx11 games. Now it might change for 1060-1080. Assuming it's not too complicated and thus not yet worth the time and money.
Maxwell2 supports more DX12 features than GCN4 (Polaris). What are you on about? And ironically Intel Skylake's iGPU supports more than both.
I may get my Vega one when it turns up, seeing all these high scores with new cards is making me want to upgrade!
Sure, on paper. But it doesn't show much in practice, does it? It's still 100% dx11 optimised GPU with dx12 features slapped on top for marketing purposes. Dx12 wasn't yet a thing when Maxwell was designed, and Nvidia lives only for today, not tomorrow.
Maxwell cards are doing really well, the only DX12 feature they can't do is async compute. They support more features in reality, not just on paper. Just not the feature with all the hype behind it, while the features they do support have yet to be used by devs.

@ OP TDurden and Tj TDurden, this is not free with the basic version and requires the advanced version! Tj, did you get it working with the basic version?
is this rly with only 4,2ghz? i wonder why your cpu score is 20% highter than my.. http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/13204027
