    Hi...

I have tried it with Daum Pot Player by using this guide http://www.svp-team.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=284, it's good the prblm is when i use madVR as a Video Renderer the frames are laggy, and when i use EVR C/P no prblms it works smootly(Fluid) is there any prblm with madVR when using with pot player...

    @xtremegamer

It's more likely not PotPlayer issue but 5750's - DXVA decoding + SVP OpenCL + madVR may be too heavy for it.

Try this (in order of increasing complexity :)):
    1. Close any GPU monitoring software if any (including Win7 gadgets)
    2. Turn off all video post processing in Catalyst (colors, details, "steady video", ...)
    3. Re-flash video BIOS with higher "UVD clocks".
ATI 5xxx series cards drop down core clock to 400 MHz when playing video through UVD (= DXVA), which is half of stock speed. The only way to get rid of this is to modify clocks in BIOS.
I've got a little manual for this, it's in Russian but Google translates it quite good and all pictures're in English anyway :)

@chainik, bt only 40-50 Gpu Usage and Clock Speed is @ 400 Mhz and Cpu Usage is around 50-60%..... :(

I updated the original posts with the guides for Potplayer, etc; all credit goes to "Prophet".

i selected GPU acceleration but my 580's stays at 0% while my cpu is using 40 to 60%

Edit: 1 card kicks in now but still with 40 to 64% of cpu usage this acting is normal ?

I dont get this, just watch the movie as the people who made it wanted it to be seen, i have motion plus on my TV, and when i watch cine movies, i put 24p and disable everything else :S.

But well, each person is different i guess :), ill test it anyways.

Directors are looking more and more to go to the higher framed format.

It really boils down to preference though like you said.

    @alco
if it's checked then it works
performance benefit depends on settings - from near zero (2nd "SVP-shader" + double frames) to 70-80% (21th shader + 5:2 interpolation)

    Hey Chillin,

I replaced my 7950 to a GTX680 and installed SVP from scratch, with PotPlayer, and I used Maken's guide, except I set madVR scaling settings to the max (8 taps and scale with linear light) but I have one little issue with the CPU usage.

I have all settings setup exactly like he explained in his guide, but my CPU is still hitting up to 65% usage when running 1080p movies. GPU % is around 30% which is perfectly fine with me.

Is there something I can do? Previously when I changed DXVA from Copy Back to Native it resolved the issue, but now I'm using NVIDIA CUVID DXVA and the CPU usage is pretty high.

    This is my system:

    i5 2500K @ 4.5GHz 1.35V
    Zalman CNPS10X Extreme
    MSI Z77A-GD65
    2x4GB Corsair Vengeance Red DDR3-1600
EVGA GTX 680 Superclocked Signature 2
    Seasonic X-650 Gold 80 Plus
    Crucial Micron M4 128GB SSD
Western Digital 1TB Caviar Blue 7200RPM
    Corsair Obsidian 650D
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Can you please help me reduce CPU usage, without hurting the image quality? Maybe there's a setting I missed?

    Thanks for the help.

Not sure, but does it matter? You have a powerful CPU there for a reason, let the program make the best use of it.

I get artifacts whatever I do, is there supposed to be a bit regardless of how perfect you have it setup? Or has anyone actually been able to eliminate them all?

60 fps, 120 fps doesn't matter always get them. Kind of looks a bit like images are tearing.
