Good decision and finally AMD has understand the reasons why NVIDIA does what they do in terms of driver development.

    - sucks at WHQL certificates
    - sucks at developing W8

    See the liaison?

And I repeat again, why is better stop relase montly WHQL drivers?
Maybe this way, we will not have fixed when necessary, because there is no commitment.

    wow, something we agree on....

They won't be trying to put them out any quicker. They'll be putting them out when they're ready.

Stop trolling already. You haven't even been a member of this forum a month yet nearly every post I've seen from you is nothing but trolling.

Absolutely nothing. He's just a troll. Just a matter of time before the mods catch on to him.

This is good because it gives the driver team time to actually develop a driver. There's no reason at all to rush drivers out. It's better to release a hotfix as new games get released than to rush to develop a half-assed driver to meet a monthly deadline.

I apologize to you personally since you feel that way. I joined to do things such as this:

    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=363559

for anyone and everyone that may ask for that type of help and other help, but some members have felt the need to hound me about it out of whatever perceived reasoning that they have repeated a lot. (Please, nobody wants that behavior at all any longer.)

Its explained in the OP why its better to stop monthly WHQL's.

Its also the reason why things have been fixed in one driver, then broken again in the next, which this will also stop (hopefully).

    This is great news. :)

I don't think so, they can just redo the logic behind it, like instead of 12.9 being September 2012 drivers, they can be 9th driver release of 2012. Numbered by succession instead of month.

Ok, sorry for rude comment but i dont really care for any of this.

All i really care is where are the new drivers, which will maybe help me get rid of the dreaded "display driver has stopped responding and has recovered"

Its getting me totally mad

I'll fix that for you easily if you have crash dumps in C:\Windows\Minidump

If you don't, very good chances I'll fix it with msinfo32 (type in start menu, press enter, File | Save) - zip the saved file then attach.

Include both msinfo32 and crash dumps, if crash dumps exist. Upload to any online host and post a link.

Dont worry man when microsoft give us one dumb thing i nwindows others with good mind create window blind for us like stardock themes. Microsoft may have 5000 or more engineers for windows but they forgot the rest of the world programmers who made applications for windows.

Every insanity have it own limit its just all about time.:bang:

sounds weired !! So if they release a driver with some issues(which amd often does) we have to wait for longer than previous ?
I think amd's driver team has called a strike so amd forced to do this .. :p

So they're planning to keep releasing their bad drivers, but less frequently while trying to get away with all the bugs and other problems by simply hiding behind "beta" testing. well, that won't make Catalyst any better imo ...

Couple of questions, thoughts, etc. (if anyone knows).
-Is 12.4b hotfix the end of the road for HD2000 through HD4000 support?
-Why is there a 12.6 CAP1 and no driver that was tweeted about yesterday?
-How about Windows 8 wddm 1.2 drivers for the release preview that is being released today?
