works but for some reason the launch pad wont work, keeps preparing to download updates, then just cancels it.
have to go into the game directory and launch the application from there

Rainbow six vegas ran well (1280 * 1024 hdr enabled max everything)

Battle Stations Midway runs very well(looks nice and smooth fsaa works from within game settings)
Hate to say it but im going back to XP Pro(gunna miss Aero and the nice lil icons(Love The Icons)

Side note Msn Messanger crashes alot for me(weird) and my hdd is always geeting a thrashing for some reason(fresh install of vista x64 as of yesterday)

BF2142 - works fine now, just as good as xp.
Garry's Mod 10 - Low FPS and constant crashing :(
Oblivion - smooth than xp tbh.

fixing xp issues from several years back up to recent should be nv's top priority and also adding features and options, not vista issues. their drivers are practically broken w/ 1/3 of the XP games already out there. they ought to fire the driver staff and hire the people who did 3dfx's drivers which were actually perfect and always perfect. nvidia has the money to pay them 2x what 3dfx paid them back in the day, other than they probably won't get $40,000 lunches everyday, unfortunately. nvidia's paying their developers to fix things for them, but ubi soft isn't reprogramming splinter cell 4 for them, just like eidos games have generally worked much better on ati-amd hardware.

Someone should be collating all these! Imagine how useful it'll be as people upgrade.

I've only tried one game so far because of all the other problems I have. This is Anno 1701 and it seems just fine with every driver I've tried *except* the default ones installed with Vista

I think the person who kicked the thread off should read through it and make a list of games that are working and not working in this kind of format

    Working
Rainbow Six Vegas 1.04 - 100.59 - (Comments posted by original user ie AA problems etc)

    Not Working
Rainbow Six Vegas 1.04 - 100.59 - (Comments posted by original user ie AA problems etc)

    Just a thought

Freelancer - 100.54 x64 - works good except the case when i shoot somebody's shield (especially a battleship shield) there is major slow down and then again raise up the fps, kind of like slow motion when enemy shield taking damage.

BTW I'm playing on 24/7 SWAT Crossfire

Um, what drivers are you using? The reason I ask is because that many people over at Relic's forums (myself included) are complaining about the spooge error and so far it seems to be an issue with Nvidia drivers. Or do you have an ATI card?

So far, COD, CODUO and COD2 run okay with Home Premium.

However, I had to run COD2MP in WXP-SP2 compatibility mode, otherwise MP would give me a black screen and die.

    Anybody else have this problem?

EVGA 7900gt SC OC 550/1780 [longing to OC in Vista.]

Also try the 1st Vista Beta drivers that came out. I think they worked with warhammer no problem

For me I get good results with the following games with 100.59 32bit drivers:

Hitman Blood Money-runs flawless at 1600x1200 full AA/AF

GTA:SA-runs great (infrequent slowdown tho which wasnt there in XP)

Counterstrike Source-runs better than XP...without MSAA enabled

HL2 Episode 1-runs flawless DEFINITE improvement from XP

Oblivion-runs great w occasional slowdown in outdoor environments (tho i do run max settings)

Tron 2.0-flawless at max settings with full AA/AF

GRAW-runs flawless at max settings with edge smoothing

    Prince of Persia TT-runs great

    And now the bad:

Need for Speed Carbon-smoother than XP...but also crashes every 10 minutes or so so basically UNPLAYABLE

Trackmania (ANY AND ALL) dont run at all. Crashes after clicking the exe and ive tried every compatibility mode as well as administrator mode.
