That last episode reminded me of the Men In Black episode to a point. The humor made me smirk at best. The part with Scully and the phone guy made me laugh. Spoiler ...my phone must be broken because no men are sending me pictures of their junk... Why is the show making Duchovny look like an alcoholic?
Yeah I was reading reviews online about the recent episode, and many people mentioned that they find it charming and humorous.. I didn't really find it to be that at all.. It was a very weird episode to me. I mean, that's fine if they don't wish to keep the show the same as it was in the past, I mean its been a long time.. Iget it. But in the same token, the scene where Scully is in the cell shop and she unbuttons her blouse to show off her heaving cleavage, I was like.. uhhhh, wtf is going on here? I'm surprised she'd even agree to do that.. Im still scratching my head over that one. Not sure what to think really..
Classic X-Files comedy episode, the show has a history of them. Although I'm surprised to see one so soon into the new series. Here's a list of some of them: http://www.therobotsvoice.com/2009/10/the_10_funniest_x-files_episodes.php Worth watching if you fancy a laugh, I always enjoyed them. She didn't, the lizard guy was making it up. He admits to it when Mulder calls him out, as I said it was just another in a long line of comedy episodes.
Well they have a monster episode which I have always liked and it's so silly it utterly fails. I have been very disappointed with every episode so far. If it was going to be like this, they shouldn't even have bothered. It's a disservice to the original show.
No I know that, I mean that she would actually allow them to write that into the script and that she was willing to do that on film. Just seemed very "un-scully" like, whether its a comedy episode or not. You are right, they always used to do some comedy episodes, but this one just seemed really amateur in a lot of ways.. Some scenes dragged WAY too long, and the story was kinda silly.
Ah, my bad. She's done similar in the past, so I'm not overly surprised. I didn't mind the episode, but I think it was a bad call having it so early into the season when the show has only just restarted.
Watched the first three episodes so far, enjoying it, the mythos episodes (1) went at 500mph I felt at trying to tie stuff up and I felt we had more answers there alone than in the last few seasons combined. Episode 2 was a motw episode connected to the main mythos, not bad. Ep 3, comedy episode, there's 1 or 2 per season as I remember, was pretty amusing. So if the last episode is a mythos episode wonder what the other two will be, must have a horror one right?
I never watched it, i just caught my mom watching it, seems fun. But i'll have to pass, i'm watching so many shows atm i can't add any more.
New episode (4), horror one I guess, wonder what the next one will be. So far it's decent, some backstory in there too.
Did last night's episode have a conclusion or did it just end. The Trash Man still exists. Other than Scully's mother passing, what was the episode about? The Trash Man part faded from focus and just ended...no conclusion, no victory, no failure, just stopped. I want to enjoy it like Mulder wants to believe. EDIT: Just me or do they feel like unpolished stories?
I think I remember the original series having some episodes like that, the mystery is never resolved fully and it just ends
This last episode was the best so far. The trashman's work was done and he was gone. The original series had many episodes that ended similarly.
I thought the last episode was good, but ended a bit suddenly. Episode 3 is certainly the best so far imo.
For me best so far is the first episode My struggle , follow by episode 4 Home again ( The trashman ).
