will we see an Asus 290x review. The bios has voltage unlocked and afew other tweaks with LLC that will make this card oc much higher, but the blower will need to be put on 60~70% .. I still havnt seen what the max is myn does.. Might have to do that tomorrow night.

What's the point of creating a whole new article on a card that is physically identical to the reference 290X that you reviewed before? Sure, there's been a driver update since your last review of the 290X, but a whole new article covering all the same bases as the previous reference 290X - seems like a bizarre choice!

I wouldn't recommend the 290s at all now, black screen crash looks a major problem.

I know i complained alot about it, but im just going to play this out till the end of the month. Thats when neweggs rma policy runs out or something i guess. Has 3D guru reviewers seen and increased driver failure during reviews of 290,290x compared to reviews of 780,780Ti .

Are they about the same level of Trouble shooting or one set of drivers have more problems then another set.

Its incredible that 3dGuru puts out as many reviews as they do, just because of the time it takes to do a proper review.

As I type this message I am on my NVidia machine. Which has its own set of problems.

My AMD high end machine has been good so far. With drivers, but that can change at any moment.

All new drivers may have problems with reviews 3dGuru are conducting so basically which drivers have less problems when doing reviews.

    Blackscreen R290X issue

The blackscreen is due to memory issue. i have mine at 1155 core, 1250 memory(stock). It doesnt get Blackscreen. With memory frequencies 1300(OC) or higher Blackscreen occurs.

That's the 13.11 WHQL and it's 13.10 WHQL counterpart for the other 200 series GPU's, as per the description these are older than the beta 9.2 drivers although if you do absolutely want or need a WHQL signature then you can use those. :)
