Unfortunately there was no time left for a grammar check since the 26 page article was finished merely an hour before the NDA lifted.

Over the next few hours one of the grammar editors will go over it and root out the typo's.

lol sorry, guessing you had long term plans with it.

Reading around pricing is quite high, i did see some sub £800 cards on Aria, but no ETA on stock, so kinda risky.

The amount of posts I have doesn't invalidate my point.
Oh and it's "ophthalmologist", bub ;)

Hilbert, thanks for the reply. If you fellas need any more grammar checkers, gimme a shout :)

I don't get why people are complaining about the price. It's the same as 680SLI and performs identical to it, if not a better choice based on temps, sound and microsuttering apparently. I mean yeah it's expensive, but it's no different than getting SLI. It's not like it's overpriced for what it is.

Na, it's overpriced and so is the 680

It is overpriced and this is coming from someone who bought a GTX590, even considered 2 for a while. It is nice but not that nice. My upgrade cycle will be the big one that follows this one. At this rate though the next big thing will probably cost $1200 or more.

Exactly. No one raises a stink about peeps getting 680 SLI or 7970 CF which cost about the same. The 690 (or 7990) is probably more practical.

Question. How come theres no 7970 CFX or 7970 CFX(OC)?

On the 7970 reviews there were 680OC on the chart but on the 680 reviews there werent any 7970OC. Just wondering :).

Look at the upper chart where it says 7970 Crossfire ...

Or did you mean you like to see 7970 crossfire overclocked results ??

Perhaps when the 7990 is released that would be a good time to stick the 690 OC results in with 680 SLI OC AND 7970 Crossfire OC reviews all together for a final analysis.

The scaling in crysis 2 is insane. 33frames for 1 gtx680, 67 frames for the 690. More than 100% scaling :D

    ( This is at 1600p )

    AMD, your move.

They've been really quiet on their 7990.

Well I did own the Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 4GB 1000€ version(RMAd it after 4 days, they returned me the money), and I still wouldn't buy this card. Why? It's not worth it (low VRAM - for such a price tag it really is, only 256-bit? another point down).

Better off with 680 SLi, or wait for "real" Kepler.
