major help!!! needed

    everyone whos seen my help thread from last week has an idea of whatsgoin on with my mobo but what i now is,i need major help,motherboard got fried week before last in a storm was under warranty thank goodness,so heres the problem they sent me a new mobo which the bios only supports sandy bridge,yet i have an ivy bridge cpu,i have the bios i need to flash the mobo what i need is anyone in west little rock arkansas or little rock somewhere close in little rock who has a sandy bridge that can come over or let me come over an let me use the cpu for 5 mins to flash my bios so i can use my cpu someone please!!!! fellow gurus

    That or go to a hardware store and pay them like what 5$?

    that would not work over here in the UK where 99% of high street PC stores are PC World. Not sure what the situation is in the US but I'm pretty sure it's similar.

    yea dont know any stores like that around here,hav a friend with broken lappy bout a yr old,may be sandy goin to find out

    your right cpu wont work,an i cant afford the sandy,im on disability sold my old sandy on here,thanks fellas

    That sucks man. Sorry I can't help you. Best I can recommend is to flip through your phonebook and see if there's any shops close to you and call them to see if they can flash the bios for you.

    OP, if you end up unable to find a shop to flash your BIOS, then buy a Pentium G620 then sell it or give it to a relative or friend.

    Celeron G540 would be a better option as it's quite a bit cheaper ($50 vs $70)...except he can't afford either of them.

    welp im sol until i can find a local store or person who has one or next check day which i hopenot because thas almost a month away grrrrrrrrr

    after some help from a friend think we have narrowed it down to ram being part of theproblem guess the storm got it also,led 1 is on an according to the manual thas a ram problem,and my power phase leds arent even on ,i jus cant catch a fn break

    update: biostar replied an sent me a shipping label so i wont be out of pocket anymore shipping money,good people there at biostar,gskill has yet to reply,which is half fine,since i hope to have the mobo back before i ship the ram jus tobe sure im not getting a memory error because the mobo needs a bios update

    yeah gskill shipped me brand new unsealed modules an they ship fast,had the ram back before the mobo
