Microsoft Flight Simulator is coming back. To the delight of flight-sim fans, Dovetail Games has licensed the exclusive rights to make all-new flight games using tech from Microsoft's series. A new... Microsoft Flight Simulator returns
Great news i still play FSX daily although updated and modded,i hope they improve the game a lot, there are still a lot of flightsimmers
I am not so bothered about Flight Sim X but I do wish someone would make a new Combat Flight Sim... I miss a good combat game.
Man, that's a good sentiment, and you're damned right. Ace Combat was ruined by the last one, even though kinda arcade anyway, it was still fun.
I tried FSX a while back to use with Eyefinity and it was a complete mess, you'd think if any game was designed for multi screen setup, it would be that
If they would update it to take advantage of more cores it might be good it always seemed that 30 fps was good in that sim. We'll see how they treat it this time around.
It's interesting if hardly exciting news, the game is almost a decade old, MS pretty much kicked the stones out of the FS name when they turned it in to a free to play pay for DLC fest whilst binning the team that used to make MSFS. I doubt many flight sim fans will care about this, no doubt most will already own the game or one of it's alternatives. This only gets interesting if this new developer actually tries to fix the problems or make some serious improvements, who knows?
It's coming to Steam? Well it better stay on Steam this time!! I had Flight Simulator downloaded from Steam and then 6 months later it was pulled! I re-installed it from Microsoft's website but even when I uninstalled Flight Simulator from Steam I had to manually delete the x amount of GB that were left behind as it didn't uninstall correctly.
