Big thanks to everyone who works on afterburner and related products, I've enjoyed it for a time and recently came up with something pretty nifty that really shows off what it is capable of!
I made a docker container (application virtualization) based on the free and excellent Linux components Grafana, Graphite and Collectd that are prepackaged to monitor a Windows system running afterburner+afterburner remote server with minimal effort.
The github page with the instructions and downloads can be found here: https://github.com/ragesaq/gamergraf
There is an online interactive example I also setup, creating using the native export feature of Grafana that you can check out here: https://snapshot.raintank.io/dashboard/snapshot/2t5C4T4wE77QIQHO1QmFc2dfXRj1zBlm

While Afterburner+Remote Server do offer up a wealth of high resolution data, there are a few thing that Afterburner is missing that would be really neat to package in. CPU frequency, System RAM %util and GPU RAM %util seem to be easy grabs applicable pretty much across the board. Other stats like system fan speed, or other component temp monitoring would also be cool, but are definitely outside the scope of the Afterburner software.

Thanks again for the great software!

System RAM (RAM usage) and GPU Ram (Memory usage) an be found in the monitoring tab.
All other values can be obtained using HWMonitor in conjunction with MSI-AB. HWMonitor can use the shared memory function of RTSS to inject its own labels+values to the OSD of RTSS.

System RAM and GPU RAM are monitored in MB used, but as I mentioned, not in util %. Would be nice to have both. I have the % handled by another application (OpenHardwareMonitor) but I would prefer it to be handled by Afterburner+Remote Server because of the superior integration with collectd.
This isn't an OSD, the raintank link I used above shows you the web-based dashboard with all the system data that Grafana and my package provides.

I'm getting 120 fps in RTSS 7.0.0 beta 19 in Halo Wars: DE in Win10 1703 when running vsynced. Which is a bit weird considering that I have 60 Hz monitor =) Is it an issue with RTSS or it's MS being MS?

best i can tell (so far over a few days of troubleshooting) is 7.0 causes wow to either video freeze completely w/out error, or error w/ a memory can not be written exception.

swap to 6.6 and the problems go away.

could be due to creators update + 381 drivers from nvidia though unfortunately much has changed so only preliminary.

Feeler if anyone else is having issues.

Also noticed i need to set wow to None whereas before I could hook to it w/out issue. This goes for both versions though as of creators update/381 drivers.

I'm getting random BSOD (nvlddmkm.sys system_thread_exception_not_handled) using my new GTX1080Ti. I uninstalled MSI Afterburner 4.3 and it seems to work atm. Could that be the problem?

Can't open MSI Afterburner Remote Server

After a power outage, I couldn't run my Remote Server anymore. I re-downloaded another one just to see if that works but it still the same problem. I can't seem to left click to find out what IP it's using so I can connect. In the log I keep seeing a "cannot access a disposed object" what does that mean?

    A suggestion for RTSS

When adding an app/game to the application profiles list in order to exclude from OSD etc, it would be good to have a list of running processes to choose from, rather than having to manually find the program you want to exclude?

For example I just installed a speedtest.net app from the windows store, instead of having to go through folder after folder to find the exe, it would have been great to have it already listed and just pick it from that list

I asked for it on 03-23-2017 and unwinder already done it since RTSS 7.0.0 beta 14 is available:

Pick latest public beta and you're set.

I don't know if this is a MSI AB bug or Nvidia driver bug (381.89), but using MSI Afterburner recording feature with Nvidia NVENC encoder in a game that has AntiAliasing seeting set to"override" in the Nvidia Control Panel tanks performance once recording or pre-recording starts. "enhanced" or "application-controlled" works fine and the problem only shows when using "override"
Easy to test with any DirectX9 game that has native AA support and set AA to override.

Also another unrelated issue, from time to time the EncoderServer32 or 64bit crashes(?) and starts using an exaggerated amount of CPU, normally with my 4690K@4.6Ghz it averages 10% usage at 1080p60 NVENCbut once it crashes(?) it jumps to 25%, the spinning overlay icon or the "buff" text still show like it's working but nothing get saved when using the hot-keys and only a PC reset can fix it, probably a driver issue?

I think it already does this. Try holding CTRL and then click on the "Add" button. That is what I do and it works perfectly.

an hour late and wrong key. ;)
As I quoted above, you have to hold the Shift-key to add it to the exclusion list directly. If you hold CTRL you just add an profile, but you have to set it to detection level none manually. With Shift-key it is done in one step.

Oopsy. I've just done CTRL and flicked it to none real quick. I guess using Shift is nice as well. :nerd:
