So yesterday i saw all the cars full of dust, i am like wtf, then i realized that it was a sandstorm, but from where? Well my answers were answered this morning in the news.. from northen sahara... How often do these storms occur ? It is the first time i came accros one! Is the press bull****ting again?
I'm not sure for eastern europe, but It's the sirrocco wind, it happens from time to time here (south of france).
Dust can travel a long way on the wind. Dust from Australia has been known to settle on cars in New Zealand for example. I'm guessing its not like a real dust storm, they can look like something out of a sci-fi film:
Yes, we had this here a year ago, and I live in northern Norway. Was absolutely crazy to find my car covered in sand one morning.
Guys i think i misunderstood, it was a dust cloud from southern plains from my country (mayor says this, meteorologists say it was from sahara) which was up in the air it basically rained all over the place with dusty water...
Hah! This happened again today. My car is covered in yellow sand, looks like I've been driving a in a desert rally. Just drove in the after work queue out of town and every single car that hasn't been in a garage looked the same. FYI we still have snow so there's no way this is local.
Yea it was said here that after it "hit" us the dust cloud will move on to NW side of Europe. So it's most probably the same sand.
