Best win 8.1 driver for bf3

I haven't tried the plugin with IE11 in 8.1, I use Chrome as my main browser.

 

can you try 326.98 version play bf3?
I try other version still not working.....

 

311.97 is a good driver

 

No problems with games at all here. BF3 runs very well for me, using 326.98 on Windows 8.1 Pro x64 RTM.

 

ok just installed win 8.1 and BF3 on my new samsung evo.
It absolutely rocks
Going from an old win 7 installation on a HDD to a fresh new installation on SSD.
I have now been rid of any form of "lag" running so smooooth.

 

Remember that Windows 8.1 drivers are in Pre Beta right now. the real Windows 8.1 drivers will pop up by the end of the month or early Oct since they going to need to ready for Windows 8.1 launch.

 

BF3 runs flawless in 7. Cannot for the life of me to get it to work in 8.1 due to this dxgi error:

I had his error too. But I believe it was because I was using sweetFX.
I copied and overwrited the DXdigi.dll from system32 into the BF3 directory. It worked

 

Copied c:\windows\system32\dxgi.dll to \Battlefield 3\ and \Battlefield 3\core

No such luck. Don't recall ever using said shader mod, though.

 

bf3 working great here in win 8.1 using 326.98.
The only problem, as people bought up already, is the web plugin doesn't work in ie11 (well, it works.. voice chat works - but it won't start the game). I just use firefox for bf3.

 

YOU sure you use win8.1 rtm version??

I play bf3 get very bad fps in my gtx 690 quad sli............

yep.. got it from TechNet (not some pirate site)

i'm playing @ 4k and the game is zooming. (default Ultra pre-set)
seems to avg around 120fps - all of the cards are being used 89%-95%-ish

 

im running win 8.1 pro rtm + 327.02 driver with modified ini and it runs perfect. i'm using a single card though so i have zero idea about multigpu configs BUT battlefield 3 never before ran as smooth as right now. other than bf3 i tested metro last light, mortal kombat, outlast, path of exile, pes2014, sonic all stars racing transformed, splinter cell blacklist, left4dead 2 & team fortress 2. no problem whatsoever.

 

and this is the problem with Microsoft putting out a new kernel and everything..

not everything was perfect in 8.0 and now devs have to work on fixing bugs with drivers in 8.1.....and 8.0 and windows 7 if people dont upgrade.

so now nvidia has to work with 5 system

windows vista to windows 8.1 and linux


evr rending is not working right for me in 8.1

wintv screen flashing when adjusting the window.

 

Been reading performance-test about BF3 at alot of sites.
How do the tets FPS? Is there an build in test program or?
Find it very odd that highend system score so low

With my system 2500K@4600mhz 760GTX@1228/3700mhz I am running 80-150 fps. just checked according to rivatuner under gameplay.

 

Guys the error is because of SweetFX. You do NOT need to copy either DLL into your BF3 directory (in fact you shouldn't because if DX is ever updated then BF will be running with the wrong version).
Just delete the dxgi and d3d9 dlls to remove sweetfx until they patch it for 8.1.

 

There is no test program, there is no built in benchmark for BF3. They test it using fraps in benchmark mode and running a scripted part of gameplay. For instance the initial part in the going hunting mission before the pilot gets into the cockpit was popular for this.

 

Also I wouldn't be surprised if people are just getting smoother FPS because its a fresh windows install. 8.1 offers no real performance advantages at present and no games support dx 11.2.

 

and where are these DLL files located? Because they're not located in my BF3 directory. Like I said I've never installed SweetFX and I'm getting this error.

 

The DLL files are only in there if you put them in there to use SweetFX.

Oh sorry I missed your comment. My guess is you run something else that messes with DX or uses an overlay.
Disable anything like precision x / afterburner / steam / origin overlay / fraps / xfire etc etc and see if it helps. Also disable Teamviewer / VNC and anything that uses a mirror driver just in case

Either that or its your hacks that are incompatible
