I use Defender and Avast Internet Security. Just curious as to what other people use for spyware and malicious software removal and protection. Anything worth while around at the moment for win 7?

    Bitdefender+Malwarebytes+Winpatrol = Deadly Combination.

hmm cool, have to look em up. Only used malwarebytes before out of those.

Don't want to overdo it, I'd like one good one to go with avast, possibly two max. I don't get a lot of malware anyway, I think avast internet security does pretty solid job on its own.

Along with some of the above suggestions:

    SpyBot
    Hijack This

Not for live protection, but good for scanning and removal

For Protection I use NOD32 AV and normal Windows Firewall

As long as you're not an idiot, those two will protect you fine

Spybot I thought was more for protection not scanning.

OK, you can ONLY rtun one antivirus at a time or you risk computer freaking out, seriously.

That said, you can have many antimalware programs at once and it is recommended, as no one program does/gets it all.

    I use in this order:

    ccleaner
    glary utilities
    Malwarebytes
    Kasperski Internet security 2013
    defraggler

Bought Malwarebytes Pro. Not expensive, one off price, why not.

Anyway, did a scan, 0 objects detected, guess that says something for Avast Internet Security. I do a lot of browsing and have had this OS install for a while now too.
