Makes sense! Too bad my two Q6600's won't be able to use their dated GPUs then :)

Even if it could use dated GPU. It would be much more efficient to do 100% SMP, rather than feed dated AMD cards, which would use more power while providing less score.

Around 6500 on the linux system and 5800 on the WinXP system :)

I installed FAH on a C2D 6320 yesterday, but it's getting a horrendous ppd of 650. It has a very cheap motherboard and slow HDD...wonder if these things play a role? I always thought the system was a bit slow for a C2D. Bad CPU maybe?

ram may make a different but not hdd or motherboard unless they have failed:p

I found out that it only ran on one core, had to add another CPU client to let it run on both (extra threads didn't help).
The system has 2GB of memory, so I don't think that's the problem. It's managing around 800ppd atm with both cores running, but I guess I'll see what it's like after a few days.

If you can check foldingControl on desktop, you'll see something like SMP:2 or SMP:4 (depending on CPU). If on command line, less the folding.xml and you should see it.

uni (unicore?) means only 1 core WU.

I am not that sure about your PPD, but I get between 2000 to 2500 on these CPUs:
    Intel Pentium E5400 @ 2.70 GHz
    Intel Pentium E5500 @ 2.80 GHz
    Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T8300 @ 2.40 GHz

All three systems run SMP:2 with passkey and there is light usage, web browsing and media playback only.

I am running on SMP:2 with passkey, but still only getting around 800 on Win7. Will troubleshoot a bit tomorrow. I'm getting around 8000 on a Core i5 760 on WinXP :)

Deleted the WU, now it's getting around 1700 which seems to be perfect :)

Humm... Hopefully, it reported to the Server so it can be reissued without waiting for the timeout. Poor WU :( Nobody likes it :wanker:
