Rumors and speculations always hit the web once a new graphics card is closing in on a launch, it'll still be a few weeks though. So as you guys know the GeForce GTX 780 will actually be a consumer...

if those specs are correct, then 800$ is most likely. they need to undercut it a bit more and give it at 450-600$. plus all this talk about gtx 780 prices that exceed 500$, make the 500$ card look cheap while they NOT. lol

This is exactly what I was concerned about when NVIDIA released the £860 GTX Titan; that the price of their other high-end cards would shift from the £400 mark to costing almost double that. This rumour would confirm my worst fear. There's no way I would pay more than £400 for a high-end single GPU graphics card and the 4 GB GTX 770 is just a refresh of the GTX 680, thus making it a pointless upgrade too.

I did read elsewhere that the GTX 780 may ship with 3 GB, specifically to keep the cost down as 5 GB would be excessive for most people, especially as 1920x1080 is the standard resolution most PC gamers play at and will be for some time to come IMO.

I always skip a generation anyways, the 670s max anything out, in fact CPUs seem to be the bottleneck in most games, sadly though they're not getting faster fast like GPUs are.

Bring back AMD thats what I say, we need some competition, I don't understand why they cannot compete, just steal some people from Intel and offer them more money.

With titan at 1000$.. i dont see them sold a titan LE at 500 or even 600$...

Nvidia could surprise us, but there's some logic in the market. The performance should be at best at 15% under the initial Titan. I dont see them coming with a 40% price reduction.

They call it GTX780 only for drain sell of the 770 and 760TI, who seems just be a 680 4GB and 670 with higher clockspeed.

I agree, they wouldn't make it significantly cheaper like some were suggesting earlier (like $499), especially since it's close to Titan and the price that Titan sells for.

if true, then they can shove it up their butt hole.

I agree though, charging a retarded amount just because they can is typical. AMD needs to come out with something quickly.

I guess you could say 'shove it up their butt, whole', meaning shoving the whole thing in, unlike 'shove it up their butt hole' where the majority of it could be sticking out. So about that Geforce 'Titan'...

If you feel Nvidia is ripping you off, I encourage you to file a complaint with the California Department of Justice. Complaint tab is to the right

If the GTX 780 is priced at £440 in the UK (tax included) I will buy 2 of them. If they are above £500 I will not be buying any.

The ball is clearly in NVidia's court right now. If they want us to play then they better not overcharge us or else sales will plummet because people will simply skip the 700 series in favour of Maxwell.

Nor I. The GTX 780 is going to be compared to the GTX 680, seeing as the name suggests it being its successor, so if you're only getting, say, an extra 25% performance over a GTX 680 for almost double the price then it is going to look very poor value indeed, regardless of how much VRAM it has.

It sounds like the rumors are getting mashed up. If the Titan LE does exist, it would probably come in a 5gb flavor. So I figure that the rumor is refering to Titan LE prices. The 780 on the other hand will probably come in 2gb or 3gb flavors. I also wouldn't be surprised if a 4gb extreme model came out in mid summer. Just a thought....

I dont know if they will follow and rearsh the 28nm arch... But at least VI series is on the way, and will come before the end of the year. " for take words of Rage3D " : The Volcanic Islands shaping up nicely ".

The article is about AMD CPU anyway, but they got the luck to visit the AMD center.
    http://www.rage3d.com/articles/hardware/amd_worldcast/

If we follow thoses " rumors", the Titan LE have become the 780.. other parts are GK104-xxx with higher clocks... ( 770-760TI ).. on the first part of the year both AMD and Nvidia have annonce to delay their next architecture ( who look to be finally replaced by the really next arch aka, Maxwell, and 2014 architectures finally )..

Nvidia is releasing a sub arch of Kepler + GK110 for Titan LE ( used on Tesla before ) for bring a 7xx series ( 780-770-760TI ) Titanl LE ( or GK110 ) could be the 780 and then GK104 - Kepler - is used for the 770-760TI ( 680 with higher clock, same memory controller, but 4Gb become GTX770, 760TI should be something like the 670 with higher clock too. Nothing to jump around as 4gb 680 was allready exist, and higher clocked version too. ( for the 760TI, its even more bad as we look at a 670( or the 660Ti was allready a 670 with some laser cut, and the 670 a 680 with 1 SM disabled/lasercutted )

For the price of one 780 I'd be able to get 2 7970s (more than I already have if I didn't already have them), which will easily outperform it.

It's obviously pre-arranged with AMD, they both held back their top chips. The GTX 680's chip ended up being the Titan and AMD's top one hasn't been released yet.
