Same fps on 32 and 64 player maps.

Lol Frostbite is an extremely well optimized heavily multithreaded engine, it can and will load at least 8 cores, probably more.

This is what games will look like "in the coming generation". About bloody time really.

50% overall load in Task Manager means very little, it's the per core load u need to look at. HT should be enabled in BF3 btw.

    Is your 680 2GB or 4GB?

2GB, The highest I have seen VRAM usage is 1.8GB.

The "fps dips" are better known as lag or stutter and happen after running out of vram. This is why I always advise 3-4GB for CF/SLI. You won't see all 2GB used because of fragmentation.

It's easy to test this by reducing vram footprint down to about 1500mb then see if the dips still occur.

In layman's terms OP turn off or down AA and report back.

turned down AA, GPU usage went down to 50-60% and fps remains literally unchanged.

    What about your vram?

Maybe turn on texture quality as well, and force FXAA through Nvidia control panel and turn off AA in game.

I'm saying it's CPU related. Downclock the CPU and report FPS, then overclock CPU and report FPS.

If it changes, its CPU bound.

It sounds like you have some sort of frame limiter forced on somewhere.

Um not u dude I was asking that NeoGeo guy. Sorry I didn't realize I was having 2 conversations. lol

    EDIT

OK just read your 1st post yeah that high load def indicates CPU bottleneck.

Is HT turned on? What's your CPU clocked at?

The spikes are where I alt-tabbed btw, the bottom picture is ingame over a longer period of about 45 seconds.

My specs are listed, however, I'm using nVidia driver 320.18, and Adaptive vsync.

The green FPS counter on the right is unlocked in console by typing Render.DrawFps 1

I realize I am not using the same GPU as you, but to my understanding you should be getting better performance than I...

Also, my FOV is actually 100 not 60. My vertical and horizontal limits are less than what the configuration settings allow because I changed it in the settings file manually, in case you were wondering why my GUI is so central.

What clock is your CPU at, looby? Its usage? GPU usage?

Lol 64 Players? Please....who are u trying to kid?

Those screenshots were taken in a completely deserted area of the map with not so much as a single other player near you. In that sort of scenario even my old Athlon II/6950 could hit 60fps easy.

You are not going to get 60fps during normal gameplay on a 64 player map during a firefight with a stock 3770/GTX670, and neither is the OP.

Please don't try and confuse him....

Because it doesn't alter the position of the GUI as much as I want using the 'screen adjust' option. I run a 1920x1200 monitor but run bf3 in 1080p as I like the vertical stretch in fps games, but bf3 in particular because of helicopters. Just something about it I've liked since my old 1200p benq MVA panel...

Noshahr Canals TDM 64 players. I just shot someone on the other side of the map, hiding behind the corrugated shed.

Check the minimap, plenty of guys on my side heading up to the traintracks and as you can see the grass foliage up there, you know the graphics detail is maxed from that distance using an 8x zoom from roughly 100-115 meters.

No ideas about CPU and GPU usage, I don't monitor these things really - but if you let me know what software you're using I'll be happy to get some screen-shots for you to compare.
