Activision shows NVIDIA's Character Tech Demo

If it's really a tech demo from activision, Call of Duty games will look like that well into the 2030's

 

Unless they incorporate some nerve sensors/brain trickery in a VR, nothing can replace the real thing so far ... *get my drift*

Nuh, I give them until around 2020+/- or early '20s.

 

looks like we're not quite there yet... very good work, we've managed to animate a still from the 8800 GTX tech demo back in 2006-2007 quite realisticly.
A few key areas I think would make a better product:
The mourh area: If you look closely there's a harsh contrast between the lips and the shadow created by the opening of the mouth. The teeth didn't seem quite realistic, maybe a little less reflection, I didn't know you could implant a carwash inside your mouth!
Maybe get the biometrics a little more accurately?
