Buy reference cards in the future, never had issues with them :)

All these TOP, FTW, Super OC etc etc all have unstable Bios.

Woke up this morning to find both Titans at 992Mhz.

Rebooted and found them bouncing around anywhere from 324 through 992 while PC was 100% idle.

    Obviously, temps reflected this.

Will try a full cleaning and reinstallation of the driver.

    hmm,

after a clean install using driversweeper, ect, everything except trials HD seem to be working as intended.
i did install over the top of 314.22 first time but i think that was just a bad idea really. anyway not 1 crash in ~24 hours will report if anything happens

Once again, an uneducated numbnut, spouting :puke2:...

Please, with your GPU wisdom, enlighten us (a.k.a proof) that "All these TOP, FTW, Super OC, etc., etc. have more issues than "reference" cards.

Really show us some articles or info on your claims. Would like to see it.

Well tbh outside of driver related issues that everyone suffers from, I've seen a hell of a lot of people with factory OC'd cards complaining about stability (usually down to a poor factory OC) than people with ref cards.

That said however, there's probably tons of people with factory OC'd cards that have no problems, it's just that the people that have problems are more likely to speak up about it.

Not all factory overclocked cards are rigorously tested.

any stability issues I ever had was caused by my memory settings being too high.

once I knocked those settings down to default. my bsod issue went away

Just played an hour, unable to get it to crash. Anything you did? Area?

excellent drivers, AO works for me forced or not.

except i had a single "windows explorer crashed" right after the first boot with the new drivers when opening a folder with a few files (as it was loading the icons/thumbnails) they were loading really slow for some reason.

used Disk Cleanup and cleared the "Thumbnails.db" it was 176mb and that fixed.

so i don't think it was related to the drivers.

i rebooted a few times and did extensive testing, everything's fine. :D

Marvel Heroes launcher keeps crashing with this driver. Previous driver was working fine.

Not seeing this, AO works fine* in Borderlands 2.

    * It's extremely taxing for what little extra visual quality it offers, averaging 15% higher GPU load when enabled.

I did consequently have my first ever DEP (data execution prevention) related (stackhash_xxxx) crash when running Windows 7 x64 whilst playing BL2; but I cannot attribute it to this graphics driver alone as I also installed .not 4 (and all updates) and PSS (physx system software) so it could be any of them :bang:

EDIT: It is the graphics driver .... http://steamcommunity.com/app/49520/discussions/0/864973919381821787/ causes the crash when you get close to a "catch-a-ride" terminal

I remember it crashing during the mission where we kidnap some guy in his limo and then another mission where we steal a tank. A couple other crashes were random in the game world.

Played 2 hours just messing around doing no missions and it was fine for me, everything maxed out including AA. I also used some mods to get this quad rocket launcher to drop the FPS down and see if I could get it to crash based off that, no luck.

I have figured some things out regarding my Gmod trees flickering issue. I have 2 friends, one has a 780, one has a 670, both have 1 monitor and no issues, I have 2 monitors and my trees flicker. If I make the game windowed with 2 monitors, or disable my second monitor, the trees will stop flickering.

Tryu revalidating the game cache as I've found Just Cause 2 won't load if PerfectDisk has defragged my E: Steam games drive but revalidating the cache always fixes it. As such I've had to disable my E: drive from being defragged.

Google it for yourself. You will see how the GTX 680 TOP, HD 7970 TOP BIOS's were garbage and caused problems left and right.

Most problems come from the BIOS of factory OC'd models.

His GPU wisdom is correct. Not everyone will have issues, but MOST of the problems come from factory OC BIOS's.

Here you go, right here in our own forums, an example. Google the rest for yourself.
