It's probably going to feel twice that length because you have guys constantly running at you which wears you out. Can't wait.

The First and Second Encounters are one game. Both parts of one title, originally split in two due to time constraints and funding issues. But, Croteam are referring to the "true" second Sam game. Serious Sam II. The one that 2K published. The First and Second Encounters were published under God Games. 2K put a lot of "push" on Croteam to make Sam2 more comedic, and Croteam have said they did experiment a lot with Sam2. But in the end felt it was a bit of a failure. They were happy with the final game, but felt it wasn't up to what Serious Sam deserved. Also, those independent titles are all supposed to be out before Sam3. As a way to build attention and hype for BFE.
Ah of course I used the wrong title here, I got it a bit messed up, sorry. (Wasn't Second and First encounter HD merged as a update some time ago as well? Need to replay that someday before Serious 3 is released. )
Yeah, they released a "mod" that merged them into one continuous game. I plan on trying to replay them both before Sam3 comes out. Though... with RAGE releasing on October 4th... I may not have the time.
