    I played it as a kid too and really for me back then I didn't think it was that bad. At least it didn't seem to have a flaw that prevented it from being playable. I remember some of it didn't make sense, like falling in that hole with a flower and you could levitate back up out of the hole..made no sense. I never beat it either but I have played worse games that are literally unplayable by any means due to flaw designs, like Dragons Lair on NES...I'm pretty sure that's the one where it was impossible to get past the front gate or at least near so. AVGN made a video about it too.
