Can my psu run a R9 270X

    Can my psu run a R9 270X ?(PC Power&Cooling S61EPS )

    My psu is 6 years old......

    Well, it's a good brand with 5 yr warranty so... I would say yes, sure. The 270x will not ask much of it.

    It'll run a 270X without a problem. I'd push for a 280X or something though, coming from that 6870. Especially if you plan on keeping it awhile.

    Try to reach for a 280x, that would be an real upgrade.

    agree^:)...but then the question is/ Can my 6year old PSU run a 280x board...Thanks Guy's....:)

    Note: airbud lives on a budget...(I'm a penny pincher).....

    Should be ok. Or if you want to get something between the 270x and 280x power draw wise, look at 7950. I've seen them dirt cheap.

    Will handle a 280x fine, im running an overclocked 7970 on 550w. :)

    Should be fine, but I reckon that i3 will be a big bottleneck.

    This is an excellent unit. Same one I have.

    Both your current PSU and the PSU TK recommended will run either a 270X or a 280X just fine.

    And I did offer you an i5 2400 a year ago....lol Unfortunately, it sold on ebay 6 months ago....

    my 6870 is still my bottleneck/not for long though (I hope)
