ok so im going with a new build think ill take the asus sabertooh z77 and im looking at two different memory g.skill brand im wanting 16 gigs there sniper sticks only come in 8 so ill need two sets or this one here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231489 now on the cpu i5 2500k or i7 2600k will be multiboxin wow maybe running adobe lightroom for my photos mainly a gamer ansers ASAP please
thats not my option right now what about the memory choice and from what ive seen april is an estimated release date
Those 8GB sticks have loose timings, (10-10-10-30). Could always try and set them tighter but not guaranteed to be stable. May be better to go with 4x 4GB....@CL 9.
all of the 8 gig sticks or the link to the ones ive posted?? the sniper 8 gig sticks http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231417
The 8GB 1600 Ripjaws you linked to. Those are 1333MHz, however I have 1333Mhz Corsair that will run 1600Mhz just fine. Do you really need 16GB of ram?
2 sticks is sometimes more stable but you already have 8GB so it would be a waste to by another 16Gb imo. what's your budget? 4 sticks should run at the advertised settings though. What are the timings of your installed ram?
I don't recall on the current RAM. The memory I want to get now is for a diff build different system entirely
what kind of timings am i looking for and the current timings on this systems memory are 8-8-8-24 once again im building a whole new system new case etc.. if i could get some help on this asap trying to get my order in
so for the new build where it lists them timings on newegg for memory. what type of numbers am i looking for in the 16 gig ram?
Right now it is April man lol. Even if they can't nail a late April release date, it'll be here in May. deltatux
i know what month it is and im trying to get my order in this week. i do not want an ivy bridge thats not my option
IB will be released next week. It would be wise to wait one week... But if you for some weird reason absolutely must get CPU now, get either 2500K or 2600K which ever fits your budget better. If you do video encoding and need multiple threads, then get 2600K. It's that simple.
so is that a for sure release date or will it be something. like when next week gets here they push it back again?
how much faster is core i7-3770 compared to the core i7-2600k for gaming right now on the egg i can get the 2600k for just a tad over 300$ us with promo codes
