If battery really will last 30% longer, then "bravo" to google.

True that. I have read in several sources about the improvements and enhancements in battery life.

Stamina/power saving mode has been improved by even further cpu down-clocking when necessary as well as other tweaks in order to save battery.

Other improvements and additions in Android L:

    - 64 bit support will also be included
    - For camera enthusiasts, RAW support will be supported
    - Polished UI
    - New soft keys and notifications
    - Improved security
    - Device sharing
    - New messaging app
    - Runs faster and more efficient than the current Kitkat OS
    - Improved graphics
    - Increased ram support
