Anyone else getting extremely low PPD from 8018? I'm only getting 36-38K from 8018.

It looks to be a Core15 WU.

    I'm folding on a GTX970.

I'm trying to keep my Athlon 5350 folding, but Linux is being a PITA and keeps stopping F@H. It's running F@H within Chrome. I'll reboot it later and let it fold in Windows again.

IF they're core_15 WU's then that'll explain the drop in PPD not very well optimised for new hardware where as core_17 and 18 are very well optimised allowing for quicker completion and higher PPD

Recently added a second machine built out of a few computers old parts running two GPU slots with 2X sapphire r9 270X. I am updating the old CPU AMD 830 overclocked to 3.51GHZ stable with a new AMD FX-8350 and MB in the next couple of months. Should see an improvement in production once I eliminate the bottleneck. Thinking about getting another power supply, case, and HDD to finish off a 3rd machine using all the old parts from my past PC's, but I will probably just give it to a friend instead of trying to squeeze a few PPD out of it. At the moment I a running the 2 r9 270X's 24/7 and my main I5 with a 660 GTX on idle achieving an average of 155k points a day. I've been getting a lot of core 17's lately spiking my PPD to 70k+, but I am usually crunching core 18's at 40k PPD.

My folders have been shutdown for a few months. I'm considering bringing at least 1 back online in the next few days. It won't produce many points, but at least it's something.

I was preparing to start folding again and it looks like my motherboard just failed..... So much for folding again any time soon.

Yeah, it's not fair. I was preparing to stress test the system to make sure it was stable. Apparently it wasn't stable anymore....lol

I've got a doctor's appointment this evening but after that I'll tear into the system and see what went wrong and figure out how to fix it. The symptoms indicate motherboard failure but I'm hoping I get lucky.

The system decided to come back up on it's own last night so I've got my 970 folding away....

Update.... It's dead. Either the motherboard or power supply has failed. It went down 3 more times last night and now won't power on. Appears I'm done folding until I can build a new system.

No much change on Radeon side, lower PPD comparing to last Nvidia cards and higher power consumption.

I think 970 is the way to. Got my 970 last month, been folding 24/7 so far, only turned off during gaming. My average PPD is 240k (solo 970, no CPU slot).
I didn't check my system power usage while folding yet, but as you can see from reviews, 970 consumes much less power comparing to other high-end cards.

970 is a good card for folding

im back up and running now installed new drivers and it mess up msi afterburns causing it to move all the sliders to max meaning when the program was loading it was overclocking to far, with the ssd it was crashing to quick for me to do anythink took me 3 day ( with no time to do it) to find the cause!

I'll be down for at least another 2 weeks..... Unfortunately, I have nothing capable of producing any meaningful PPD until I can rebuild the system in the specs.

So, I'm back up and folding as of this post. Updated specs to the left. Temps are all looking good. I gave up hyper-threading and my OC so my PPD off the CPU will be slightly lower but shouldn't be anything too dramatic. Running GPU client on my 970 and CPU3 on an i5 6600K at stock clocks. We'll see what happens.

As far as I can tell, it's about 10K... Nothing too impressive.

Had a few hickups. The client kept switching me from CPU3 to CPU4, which caused errors for the GPU and prevented it from folding. Really killed my PPD. My 6600K, at stock clocks, seems to go between 10K and 24K PPD. So, as I said, nothing too impressive. It is only a quad core though and lacks hyperthreading. It's still an amazing processor for everything else though.
