Disney joins forces with EA for new Star Wars games

They've got most of the original CoD studio iirc...it's been a bit quiet around those guys or I've just ignored any related news the past few years.

 

My first reaction too.
Disney shouldn't have licensed out the whole brand exclusively to one company. You know they just did it for the money.

And while DICE + Battlefround sounds interesting, if they don't make a transition between space and ground battles possible - like the PSP offspin and how they tried with Battlefront 3 - I'm not hyped.

 

Same here. I'm pleased with developer house choice. However, the marketing strategy of EA leaves a lot to be desired.

My prediction is solid games that will be plagued by faulty services (DRMs) and DLCs (not ones that necessarily screw the game over, but ones that will certainly destroy the PR as usual).

 

I'd hate to see Battlefront 3 go the way of BF3, being chopped up into little pieces to be sold as DLC, while still making us pay full price for an unfinished base game.

 

And by the time the game becomes "complete" it will be time for another $60+ sequel and the game dies.

 

A standalone expansion pack you mean? :bang:

What could they be? I don't know myself but I'm excited to find out.
