I have always used Win un-install first and then manually go into the registry and remove (All) the left overs in Software categories.

And there are plenty, But if not comfortable there (DON'T)!
If you delete the wrong entries or keys, On Reboot< IT might not
    and you'll be reloading OS.

    Later:)

I totally agree with U especially on the ASUS GPU tweak. It just did weird things on my setup.

These are the drivers I told you about:

I agree with this. Anyhow... I had to use them as a last resort as manual cleanup on my case wasn't enough... and they actually worked (manual uninstall and atiman gave me blue screens at the beginning) so I used driver sweeper first, then i searched for key entries, manually removed them and later on used atiman to remove the last keys I couldn't find.
They didn't screw up my reg.
I also used CCleaner for a last cleanup after reboot.

Well, there are improvements in general like better MSAA and MLAA and some games are working better like BF3 and skyrim.
On the other hand, for game improvements you should look for the latest CAPs from AMD, in this case latest is the 12.3 CAP 1

AMD Catalyst Application Profiles 0.5 MB 12.3 CAP 1 3/29/2012

    http://www2.ati.com/drivers/hotfix/catalyst_application_profiles/amd_catalyst_12.3_cap1.exe

This includes all latest game fixes and performance improvements appart from the performance improvement of the newer catalyst drivers.

Darkness 2 is working fine on feb 24th drivers as I'm playin' it with them :)

Did you do a previous cleanup of all ati files?
If it fails to install catalyst CCC, go to where the files are extracted before instalation, find the .msi that installs it and do a repair !

12.3 drivers and 12.4 drivers are known to have crossfirex problems with 2nd card. they or don't recognize it or just leave 3D clocks at all times.

I think AMD better get their **** together because there is ALOT of this going around. Nvidia doesn't have to advertise, they just have to wait for AMD to release a new driver that screws with the previous generation of cards.

Yup, everytime you update or install drivers ULPS is reset to ACTIVE.
I do experienced a glitch where after booting if I double click CCC it will dissapear, then restart and reappear and mess with my fan speed, that i solve by pressing the user setting fan speed in afterburner.
    which I can live with...
Appart from that, no, I had no more problems with these drivers.
I'm glad you could make the 2nd card work and drivers work again.
I have been expeirencing some extremely high fps in BF3 around 100-180fps wich ended in a little tearing and microstuttering wich I solved by capping with Vsync at 75hz and tripple buffering... besides from that, everything works well :)

I will use CCC as sometimes I like changing a few settings and, like you, when i switch to tv from monitor need to activate the scaling, etc...
Anyway the fan overwritings doesn't bother me so much. My oc is not overwritten as i have overdrive disabled ^^

but thanks for the imput ! i'll take it into account.
I have not used radeon pro... i find its functions very useful but never tried it. I believe there's not much into configurations unless the game isn't working fine from the beginning ! I hate options like MLAA and SSAA and SSAO and so on, I like te textures to be crisp, even if there is some jagged edges. The only effect I like is the FXAA wich some games have already embedded in the engine, like BF3.
For now my setup has responded flawlessly in most games.
AMD has ****ed up with driver funcionality, but I have to admit that 90% of the games work without glitches or whatsoever.

The -xcl line plus the .dll file works for me in AB and Trixx. Using Cat 12.4's..
