Okay, so outside of the naming confusion, (How about we call them twelve point twee?), has anyone actually done any benchmarketing to see whether they offer any performance improvements?

    Thx!

That's exactly what I posted, so the whole point that 'date' has anything to do with what catalyst driver 'version' it is doesn't make much sense, anyway no need for further confusing the matter.

What about the Skyrim pixel corruptions and the broken Windows green and red textures?

Are the gone with the WHQL?

Skyrim pixel corruptions is still there, for me atleast.

Battlefield 3 seems to be the same.

Allegedly, the next drivers will contain MLAA 2.0 which will improve AA framerates and the quality a little!

    In BF3 gives +14FPS with MSAA 4x enabled ( 7950 - 1080p ). Let's hope we'll be able to afford MSAA.

That will be a welcome addition. With a 7970 overclocked to 1125 I get dips below 60 with 2xAA enabled in B2K maps.

I think you've mis-interpreted the figures, its 14fps faster to use the new MLAA 2.0 than it is x4MSAA

The article is about how they have improved and optimzed MLAA, its nothing to do with MSAA - thats just included for a comparison

For gpu-z and CFX with 7970, dont be affraid if it show "disabled", it look like a bug with Zerocore feature and how GPU-z read CFX.

cause you are using an non official beta who are based on the 8.94, as theres a 12.3 based on 8.95 and 8.96 ... same for the 8.932.

Note this driver is mostly the 12.3 ( show 12.3 in CCC ), but i believe they dont wanna jump one month.

Thank you for the info saves me some time. You would think that new drivers would improve preformance on the lastest new popular games. Maybe even get crossfire to work correctily. Not with this company it is the same sh!t time and time again ........... I really am starting to see green.

    Regards

I moved back to Win7 since the performance on BF3 was killing me, and it's my most played game. These drivers work very well, but I still get the shadows drawing themselves in as I approach them in BF3 and Crysis 2 (I'm sure other games have the same behavior, but haven't tried them). Asking in BF3 chat everyone said it's an ATI/7xxx series card bug. Does ATI know about this, or should I gather photos?

This behavior is also exhibited in my 7670m SG Notebook in Assassin's Creed Revelations.

I cant seem to set the powerlevel +20% on the second core on my 6990 for some reason. It takes the clocks on GPU and memory but if I put the power +20% and hit apply it always resets to 0%. First core works fine... Any solutions?!

    Cheers!

I gave these drivers a try yesterday and had to rollback to 12.1 as the Eyefinity group setting just made my explorer.exe crash.

No matter what I've tried it crashed everytime I tried to create a groupe.
Definitely not a must have for me :bang:

Hm. Does the 6990 support zero core power as well with these drivers?

Try setting it when the second GPU isn't shut of with Zero Core Power (again, if it even works on older cards). Try to enable the second card by running GPU-z and select the second card from the dropdown menu, then go to CCC, set the powerlevel to +20 and save it, exit CCC and then quit GPU-z as well.

This works for me on my 7970s, at least.
