nice one. And don't worry, you didn't start anything. dr.noob just likes to act like a little child and always bashes AMD. Anyway, make sure you keep us up to date when you get the card, we want to see some oc results and some bench scores. Also if you have any questions, ask. a lot of good guys here that will be glad to help.

I may have a concern here about this card

It has two DVI connectors 1 Dual-Link DVI-I and the other Single-Link DVI-D

Now I have two Samsung syncmaster 2343 both run at 2048x1152

Now it says on the Sapphire site that this cards Single-Link DVI-D has a max resolution of 1920x1200

Does this mean that I'm not going to be able to use one of my monitors at the correct rez?

Will the HIS 7950 IceQ X2? be a better card for this?

But saying that the HIS site also says that the 2x mDP only go up to 1920x1200...

What the heck.... what do you do if you have a high rez monitor

Got it on friday and after testing it out was only able to clock it to 1140/1500.. core will not go any higher and more volts dosent help and the mem is done at 1500 :/ but still managed a P10079 in 3dmark 11

when I installed the card I desided to do a PC spring clean.. old girl needed it.. and gave me time to sort out the power cables on the back HD's

You know the Thermaltake armor "Alloy" Got this case about 5/6 years ago... Still the best case I have ever had even though the insides have changed from 6 years ago.

PS also worked fine with the monitors :)

@ M-Pro, Rig does look good, much tidier than mine.

Got my 7950 on Friday as well, it's fantastic, quick and quiet! My bank account doesn't think so though, just PM me about donations

That's a balanced one... you should have some nice OC potential on stock voltage and a good boost with some overvoltage.

Im getting 1140/1500 on 1.25v stock mem volts1600

will not clock any further no matter what volts I put it up to

mems stuck at 1500.. if I try 1510 hard lock
the core starts to show species at 1150 and no volt change gets rid of them.. :/

just to lower temps ive set it to 1100/1500 with 1.12v and ive been able to drop the mems volts to 1500 for temps on the mem and core of 65..

wish I coild get more out the mem and core :/

    Yes, open up regedit and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Currentcontrolset\Control\Cl ass\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
change from 1 to 0. then reboot

If you want an easier solution, you might want to use MSI AfterBurner and turn off ULPS from there. You also need a reboot, though, but it's just an easier way to toggle ULPS.

Atiman Uninstaller includes a ULPS control application as well.

Tried it with ULPS off and it's the same :/

As soon as I go over 1140mhz core I start to see flickering.. its right away and the temps are only at 60c

I can put the voltage up to 1.3v and no change
Same with the mem.. can't go past 1500 no matter what volts

That's still a solid OC. I have no voltage control for my memory and can't quite hit what you are. With my current specs I've hit 10,142 in mark11 so I'd say you're doing pretty good.
