I don't play that many games. One or two from time to time. Mostly I do video encoding. I don't really like the features on current LGA1156 motherboards. Need plenty of Sata ports, 8 HDDs in case + 8 in RAID station. Not possible to run those games maxed @ 120fps. If you look at this review, you can't even run MW2 @ 120 fps. http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/amd_radeon_hd_7750_and_7770_review,12.html
qx9650 4ghz with a stock 480, I sure aint getting those fps at 1080 maxed. that 480 I have is better than your video card I had to pick a 570 vs a 7770 as the 480 and 570 are very close performance wise http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/518?vs=536
Guess I'll look into getting a copper case. Should get me 1200 fps seeing it 10 times the size of a CPU block. All this time I thought spending money on hardware was the issue. You guys been lying to me for years!!! Need mo copper!
Hahahaha made me laugh before i go to bed for an early night. Best post of the day for me. Goodnight all. Edit....Be smart and wait for Haswell.
guys with or due respect if u not getting what i am saying? there is by far something wrong on the way u doing it. plus it is a quad core it is suppose to do that it has enough power to do that. setup is important i am doing that on standard not on overclock. the card has the ability to do that the only setting that is off is cuda and physx. because the card has no support for that but otherwise it gets that.
show me ONE benchmark where a hd 7770 is getting 120fps on any of those games at 1080p or record a video and show me your settings and then run the game and I want to see msia/fraps with 120fps. you wanted a bet? ok, here it is. I bet you can't!
@ Thread Starter If you do get that system, i would suggest you to go i7 3820 and OC to 4.6ghz and later upgrade to 8core IvyBridge. Imo much better investment then this 6core atm. Also get fast ram, X79 quad channel ram likes fast rams since its kinda bottlenecked by its quad channel design in dual channel config. I mean apps that take only dual channel into account, most atm. Things could change a lot in the near future. For example G.skill TridentX 2400mhz CL10 16gb ram for ~ 140-150€. I googled your location and i saw this store Mlacom http://www.mlacom.si/pomnilniki/g-skill-f3-2400c10q-16gtx-16gb-4x4
Or since he seems to have the money wait for IB-E as it should bring with it an 8 core with HT and that would be great for video encoding but right now if your main concern is video encoding look at the vishera 8350 it's a lot cheaper and video encoding is its forte plus it still does good in gaming. For someone who claims to know what he is doing you appear to be doing it wrong.
can you not paste links? or can you not save a jpeg then upload it and paste it here? come on, give me a break. OP: it's been mentioned before, not sure if you replied but can you not wait for the new cpus that are coming out soon? You have waited quite long so a couple of months wouldn't be that tragic.
