I tried to set up my XBOX 360 gamepad connected to my computer but nothing happened when pressing buttons on the gamepad in Options/Controls. Does the game support game controller?
Try the motioninjoy driver. It's meant for a ps3 controller but now has support for xbox 360 controllers aswell. You can map the button as if they were a button on the keyboard. Not that I've tried it in stalker but it works like a charm in other games.
hmm i will try that too.. and in addition,i dont want to see " why gamedpad?" , "gamepad is gay" like posrs here. dont be a gamepad ***** pls. i enjoy metro 2033 with gamepad . wish pripyat has game pad support out of the box.
I like certain games with a gamepad but I think CoP is MEANT for the keyboard/mouse, loads of commands, probably to many to map out on a pad dude.
Why the hell would you wanna play STALKER with a gamepad???:3eyes: Wait, weren't you the guy who played Crysis with a gamepad? OK, I kid the gamepad kiddies j/k TBH, I do enjoy some games with a gamepad, but STALKER is a bit too complicated for a gamepad, I mean cmon, it's got a lot of commands, that's for sure, so it'll be tricky to get them all there But you know, whatever floats your boat, man!
Yes I agree STALKER is not for gamepad but Crysis works good with it. I wouldn't play the mp with gamepad though, you'll be owned right quick
Heh, might as well try Crysis with a gamepad then. That'll be a new experience for me... Anyone up for a mach of CS with gamepads?
Anyone who wants to play FPS's with gamepads on PC should just buy a console. Its like playing GTR2 with the cursor keys
I guess it depends.. sometimes I play on my 60" HDTV and I sit about 8-10' away it gets a little hard to be accurate with a mouse from across the room. On my FW900 though the mouse is leagues ahead of a gamepad
it works for some games for sure but pc gaming isnt really about using pads is it? get a wireless board and mouse and put them on a couple of those 'tv dinner' tables lol, you will get a better gaming experience for sure with stalker if you did that
PC gaming is about having the greatest choice, not just one control system. I tend to play most single player FPS's with a pad as its more enjoyable, and abit more of a challenge, but if the game doesn't have native gamepad support, then it probably won't play great if you try to emulate it since there will be no analog controls, or force feedback, and with a game like Stalker, you will have to still use the keyboard at one point anyway, as you will run out of buttons.
very very well said. and yes, if a game doesnt support gamepad natively, u wont get full joy of gamepad.
yep a true gamer can handle any controls. although a steering wheel would be quite hard lol
Yours is Hitler wearing pajamas riding a magic carpet with rainbows shooting out the back. I think it's a tie lol
