True, true. It's a known scientific fact that most humans live out their entire lives without brains (look around, you'll see many of them in the McDonald's). It has been rumoured that a highly advanced alien race has been removing their brains remotely using straw-sized mini wormholes and replacing it with spam (lovely spaaaaaam, wonderful spaaaam). Apparently, the human race has yet to notice.

    Happy-happy thoughts :)

Also it may be dead anyways. From what I've heard an insect does not have to be living to move, the nerves stay attentive and working after an insect dies, so those twitches may just be acting nerves, not live movement.

Then what would you suggest constitutes death? If nerves are still working... what exactly has 'died' that you would classify it as dead but moving?

This will probably open another whole topic, so if anyone has nothing better to do and wants to discuss... What Is Death? Then by all means start another thread.

What I think and what I think I have heard someday is that a bee needs her ass to live and head to be able to see. When a bee lose its sting it dies.

I think that's because the bee's sting is atached to the stomach and when the sting is lodged in a victim the stomach is torn out (of the bee, not the victim). nice.

I remember there was a chicken somewhere in the US, they cut off the head when it was slaughtered but they accidently didn't cut of the part of the brain which is responsible for all the vital functions.

The chicken still lived for over a year and was fed through a hole or smt lol...

    lol Sash,

Mike the headless chicken? That's nasty!

Some guys I know stole a Turkey from a poultry farm one night because they wanted a fresh Turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. They cut the head off the day before Thanksgiving expecting it do die instantly. To everyone's surprise the thing ran around the yard for about 20 minutes before dropping over dead. It never stopped running the whole time though.

    :behead:

I know if you blow torch a bee it dies :p. But if you get it quickly its wings go and it runs around.

It was already dead... or undead... or whatever. I don't think animals have rights anymore after they lose their heads.

    that made me lol.

I just saw a clip on youtube of a headless chicken. Was kinda gross actually. But does that body still feel pain? Because pain is interpreted by the brain right? no brain = no pain?

But if there was no pain, why would the chicken flop around crazily?

Muscle Convulting imrpoper Signals through nervous system and build up of certain acids when lack of proper circulation can cause that.
