When I use the upgrade assistant it comes up with an error after 73%. It says this error code 0xc1900200. I've tried searching for an answer, but its just too confusing lol. Please help. Edit. It just come up with this : We couldn't update to system reserved partition. Also I am also running Windows 10 Pro 1607.
Are you confusing the system reserved partition which is usually about 100MBs with a recovery partition? That one is usually only present on oem systems. Here is another post about increasing the system reserved partition. https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/bu...couldnt-update-the-system-reserved-partition/
I've tried everything it seems, and its still no go. I'll take a screen shot in the morrow. Cheers guys.
Can't you just merge the partition with the C: drive? Failing that boot up the Windows disc from the BIOS and format it with FDISK.
Can you access the drive and see it listed with the other partitions? Perhaps try moving it off and trying again. Probably an MBR file that's on there or something. Check for hidden files.
Am trying to upgrade my windows 10 from build 1607 to the latest build. And when I try it fails with error code 0xc1900200. And from what I read it seems to be a problem with system reserve not being big enough??
The boot partition would have been created when you installed windows so it still should be 100MB, or so. Try a Windows boot repair from the disk.
Is it still 16MB? Best thing to do would be to reinstall Windows on the C: drive but keep all the files and folders. You won't lose anything on the other partitions. Or do a clean install on C:.
