Plastic grill removed on one the other dremaled down to make new driver fit properly into driver housing top of headband.

Both where eventually taken down with dremal to make new drivers thickness as close to originals as possible for a correct fit..

Could not wait for new drivers to arrive..

    Too impatient!!

Needed to replace my old ???'s so had an excuse to purchase another set fresh n new..

The rest is same as the other old set dismantle n destroy except with this one i kept all the shell parts for new drivers to install when they come...

Wow you're doing loads of stuff to them! Are you keeping the little plastic grille thing from the AKG drivers?

I e mailed "The Man" at Psyko and told him about the work being done by G-note. They were all at E3, but, he took the time to check this thread and replied to my e mail. He too, found it very interesting. He also noted that G-note was not done yet. I'm sure he would like to see the end results, as would a few of us. Keep going G-note! Great work. Psyko may want you on thier payroll. One never knows....

    NOt really!!

If you check the above pics i kinda cut the grill away with a small wire cutter and then trimmed down with a dremel but left alil edgle on em so that the rubber grommet would not contact the drivers cone..

This is the way the old gromet was installed on original drivers so as to seal front of driver front rear..

Had to do it that way because the new drivers are thicker being that the magnets on them and voice coils are considerably larger.

If they did a elite line, they should also put in a stronger amp that has a switch on the side to change the headphone amp gain like Low and High or something. I still wouldnt get it, but alteast they could improve it to be a more decent amp.
