    That's a bit of a blow!
Thank goodness the Galaxy S3 doesn't have that problem.

Hopefully they acknowledge the sound problem next, but probably not since it looks like a hardware issue.

Apple can actually use this to sue Samsung for copying their Wi-Fi issue on iPhone 5. :p

Glad my droid took a dump before this phone came out. I live on wifi in my house with my note 2

If it's because of the router's firmware, would running Tomato or DD-WRT be the difference of it working and not working?

Probably would -- do those DLink routers support DD-WRT/Tomato, or Vice Versa? Lately I've been finding most routers are becoming harder and harder to install custom firmware on.

ASUS seems to be the only company still actively launching customizable routers.

Buffalo does too. There are a number of Linksys routers that have DD-WRT support as well.

The DIR-615, 825, 835 are examples that are DD-WRT capable.

Many TP-Link routers are also DD-WRT capable like my TP-Link TL-WR1043ND.

It's usually because the older revision has a smaller flash memory so DD-WRT won't fit in it.
Otherwise it's from using an unsupported chip.
