ah really did not no quite newish to computers hence my comp build been a bit sloppy just assumed the double fan cards would be better for cooling etc so that card u link is really worth buying a few friends said i should go for gtx 660 but 7870 seems better on paper

I would squeeze a bit further and go for a hd 7950. they can be had for around £230. if £200 is absolute maximum you can spend then hd 7870 xt 2gb will be your best buy. But £30 extra is worth it for the extra performance you get out of a hd 7950.

Once again, this one is the 7870 le, the cooler is single fan i know, but it's the best of them all.

    660<7870<660ti<7870LE

If you can order the Sapphire 7870 2GB XT, XT=LE, do it.

The 7870 has been plagued with problems since release.

Can u stretch the budget another $50 for a 7950 Twin Frozr or Windforce 3?

i would of been able to get the the 7950 but like i stated in my previous post i had to blow a extra 60 pound replacing my psu since my old 1 had 1 6 pin cable and it was 750 w lmao so i really can only go as far as 215 pound which would be noodles for dinner for a while lol :D

What about from somewhere like eBay? There's also another UK site but I forget the name, it's Avaia or something similar.

i thought about checking ebay amazon but theres allways the issue with if the card needs rma costs me a shed loads returning it with tracking etc were as scan have allways been good for issues like this they send out there courier free of charge etc and had some really bad computer buys from ebay in the past kinda try to avoid big payments to sellers on ebay so trying to stick to stores atm
but if i find a really good deal on ebay i might be swayed :p ill go hunting now see if i can find a 7950 :p

First one seems expensive u can get a new one for like 265.

I've bought many used cards and never had a bad one, using an 8800GTX I got 2nd hand 4 years ago for PhysX atm....

    ymmv ofc..

theres only 3 decent sites for us in the uk then we have to resort to amazon ebay
http://www.yoyotech.co.uk/ is supposed to be good all the graphics cards look the same to me exept more fans etc so never have a clue what to get
overclockers.uk is good aswell but overpriced imo
then theres scan if any1 can help me find a great 7870 or even a 7950 whats below 215 pound lol ill name the card after you :D

if not ill get the 1 some1 linked earlier the 1 with 1 fan xt ver or something :p

If the issue against getting the HD7950 is simply a cabling issue, then you could easily get a molex-to-PCI-E power adapter and power the card. That is if your PSU is good enough to handle these cards. If it's not a good PSU, I wouldn't bother powering anything with it, let alone a mildly powerful card (including the HD7850 and above).

nah cabling is fine i replaced the bad psu for a cx500 from corsair which should be more than enough for a 7870 etc especially since im not cross firing or got anything overclocked its pretty much cash what the issue is for going for 7950 so am gonna probs just get http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-...dr5-gpu-925mhz-1280-cores-hdmi-dl-dvi-i-2x-md since u guys said xt-le version are alot better than the other 7870s
