well like i said i used the lowest possible settings, so that would be AA completely OFF :)

    Holy crap. This game uses a constant 90% CPU on a 4930k @ 4.5.

Not sure what the hell it's doing as the graphics aren't that intense and performance sucks.

    To add some details too:
Friend with GTX 680TOP (1200MHz GPU) + i5@4.2GHz had pretty bad experience. And game usage of VRAM was 1.6GB. Turning off AA did not help.

I had really good performance with ultra + 2xMSAA but vram utilization went to 2.5GB.
So I guess that BF4 needs that VRAM and unless you have enough, it caches it in system memory causing trouble when you turn around or enter area which needs big chunk of data.

I see it logical that it leaves part of VRAM unused, because performance drop would be even higher in case you had it completely used and needed some data, since it would have to drop those data (load later from HDD or have complete data set always in system memory) or move them back into system memory before new data are obtained.
But 400MB reserve seems rather high.

I wonder what experience people with 6BG Titans got. If they are fine in general or people with 4GB cards then it's just bad memory management.

Thing is there are reports on red team that HD7850/70 with 2BG VRAM suffer too. So only difference is that on AMD it's not so common because 3GB cards are much more affordable than 2GB cards on nV.

    tried 4 drivers so far

    314.22 + 331.40 - microstutter and FPS drops from over 100fps to 40fps (ultra + 2xmsaa)
    326.80 + 327.23 - unplayable even at lowest settings.

all in all its really unplayable for me since i need a smooth experience for shooters. might as well install the latest again and forget about the beta.

It makes bf3 look like a solid game.

I just don't understand why utilization never goes beyond 50-60% on sli setups. Even with an "essential" profile.

It's solidifying my move to r290x once mantle arrives.

I have a single gt750m just updated to 327.23 drivers and it seems like no matter what video settings I use I get about the same frame rate. I leave regular AA off and just use the post, but I could have everything on ultra with HBAO and get an average of around 27 frames and then turn everything to low with no ambient occlusion and still only get around 33 frames. I'm not sure if it is a cpu bottleneck or the new drivers or what because I've played plenty of battlefield 3 64 players with ambient occlusion and all settings (except AA) on high or ultra with no problems.

Edit: Im also not able to see my GPU usage because apparently MSI afterburner doesn't work with 64 bit games i guess?

Sounds really fishy, I'm getting the same frames I got in BF3.

The only thing is if you slide the supersample bar over 125%, then frames drop fast.

It looks great at 100% to me so I just run Ultra settings with 4xMSAA and keep supersample at default.

Your card isn't downclocking is it?

    Running 3570k at 4.5ghz
    660ti SLI @ 1200 ghz
2560x1440 on high settings with AA turned off

I get FPS drops to 20 on menu screen and avg 40-60 FPS

    WTF DICE?

Well dont know what to say, BF3 is way smoother for me.
nope my card isnt downclocking, but GPU usage is low at points where it starts to stutter. I can notice this mostly while running. (i can see this with AIDA on my G15 screen)
i just seen the 30fps mark. (with everything on high and AA both off).

Well the most that can be done is to see it as it's just a BETA. Hopefully the final product will perform better for those with issues.

I'm thinking it could be down to the fact that it's the 64bit client, maybe it's less optimized and that's why they wanted to use it in the beta, to get some more feedback.

Performance is unacceptable on my GTX 780, it runs horrible no matter what the settings or drivers are.

    I recall the BC2 & BF3 beta ran pretty damn decent on 1080p high settings with my 5870, 6970 & 580...

Anyway they better come out with a fix soon :bang:

I've got a 760 and I'm running it at 60 fps (capped), running on the latest beta driver. I get microstutter but it's not shown as an fps drop. Running all maximum. Using Fullscreen mode by the way, some have suggested running in Borderless. It also doesn't appear to be restricted to Nvidia users, ATI users are getting the same problems.

Obsoluty DIRE here, stuttering and stalling all over the place even on LOW! Doing it in windowed mode helps but it's still bad.

I've seen people with 480's right upto Titans with problems, not all but most

Glad I threw out my GTX 780.. I bet a PS4 + 1080p Plasma, gaming would be smoother than pc. All my regular 360 games on plasma have no motion blur and smoother than my old GTX 780.
