Im sorry, i dont know why you enter the review with watchdogs + high ram usage, when we look at the difference of fps between a standard 780 and this OC version + 6gb.. we find 4fps difference.

With 106mhz more on the boost clock ( min boost clock, the card certainly clock higher in turbo mode than that, on both stock and non stock version ), we could expect the difference only come from this oc.

Yeah that WD difference is only because of base 954mhz vs 863mhz. My with 941mhz (boost 1084mhz) acts the same as this MSI and comparable to Titan (2688cores) performance out of the box.

Imo there won't be any vram usage difference, HH used High Textures there if Im not mistaken

Nice card, but too late in the game for me... no point in getting this when 880/AMD equivalent will come out in 6 months tops and will most likely also have a big vram capacity and of course a performance bump (remains to be seen how big that will be).

I was somewhat expecting a test of WD at ultra resolution at least to see how the extra VRAM helps. Why only high setting that is meant for VRAM <= 2GB? Or at least do some 4K tests... 1440p is nice but 6GB is meant for 4K with current games.

    ^^ this.

too late to make it a worthwhile choice, only people who would get it are people building a new rig right now. or otherwise cannot wait for the next gen to drop

Cool, just wondering, when you bench similar cards (strix, this 1) why don't you include the results in the charts, would be nice to compare :)

Oh and, it would be epic if you could bench the Inno3d 6gb version !

And yea I gotta agree that those 780 6gb versions come a bit late, now we all know the 800's will be here in 5 months !

For me it's still tempting, I'd get the Inno3d but then, yea 500 euros for a card is a whole lot, so i rather wait 6 months for that kind of an upgrade at this point and I'm looking to buy a r9 270x for the wait time.. that said, it's still pretty tempting..

    Well he test 4K vs the standard 780 ( UHD ). 3fps difference ( 26 vs 29 ). ( then again i suppose due to higher clock.

I was thinking the other day actually, why no 6gb Ti.

Well now i know but it's stupid if you ask me, think Nvidia made some big mistakes with the 7xx series and vram sizes.

Hilbert is there any 780 6GB SLi coming for us? I would love to see you test 2 of those in 1440/2160p.

Although I doubt it will make much of a difference in most games with a couple expections here and there.

very impressive FLIR results, i may get this, i'd love another msi card, would give me an excuse to use afterburner again.
and the borderlands pre-sequel coupon would give my dedicated PhysX card something to do.

Would you be going with one of those, or two of the 780s + dedicated physix?

see how you go with one then throw in another laters.
it indeed looks like high-end Maxwell will be on sale within four weeks though..
i'd get a 780 then a week later the 980s arrive and destroy it when OCed :D
skipping the 800 naming also implies a leap in performance.

Lol skipping the 800 series naming has nothing to do with performance. Might be a marketing ploy for the easily fooled.
