Galaxy and thus in Europe KFA2 are prepping a 4 GB overclocked version of GeForce GTX 670 and they are calling it GTX 670 4 GB GC Edition. The product will have a big dual fan cooler custom PCB and...

I just don't see the card needing that much with the 256bit memory interface wouldn't that bottleneck if a game could use that much v-ram.

All depends on how a game uses the v-ram, and so far it doesn't seem to with any game released so far, but the vram king does seem to be modded Skyrim, and it's just too hard/impossible to test with that, so for now i don't think we will find out withouth testing ourself.

I quite like the look of this, not that i would buy one as i just don't need 4gb of vram at 19x10, but if the price is similar, then i would rather one of these than a 680.

I like when they say the turbo core is working at 1080mhz instead of 980mhz, when the 100% of 670 tested by the press reviewers was working allready with a turbo of 1100mhz at minimum in the press reviews .

If your 670 dont go over 1040mhz, just put the slider to 105 % ,,, it should give you more perf of a 680..

It's as fast as a 680 if not faster and has 4GB. Do you see the point now?

Anyways, i remember Hilbert reviewed the KFA2 one and it came with horrible coil whine. I suspect this wont be any different.

And some MSI 670 GTX stock can have it as well, so you assume all other custom models like Lightning, Power edition, Hawk, etc have it too? Imo your pov is a bit close minded.

Just like your 4GB excuse for Skyrim, most custom texture mods have some minor errors (improper compression formats, bad formats) that can leak vram usage, for example 2.5gb can be fixed down to 1.5gb or lower..

Btw its nothing personal, just saying. :)

    edit:
Regarding this KFA2 i think its quality card, looks nice too..

Can we expect review in the future? :nerd:
