and another trick from Nvidia. I don't see why this can't be used on fermi cards. Nvidia is just money hungry.

H.264 MP4? So basically, not video editing friendly?
I'll stick to DXtory with Lagarith...

Actually it's because it takes advantage of NVENC which is a hardware encoder on Kepler cards..

I love the idea of the Shadow recording feature, some good thinking there and definitely something I'd make use of as a more casual recorder.

On the Nvidia boards they said something about this possibly coming out around the same time as Nvidia Shield (which the release date is today for that I presume)

New update comes with streaming support for shield and I would assume it uses the compression that shadowplay would. Also in the program folder there is a shadowplay dll.

yeah, the nvenc chip is what shield uses to encode the gameplay vid then stream it to SHIELD, same hardware that shadowplay will use.

    Here we go..

    People....there are reasons for this.

As mentioned in other posts, New architecture, new tech that only the GTX 600/700 series can do.

    This is not another trick....

It's the same with drivers and issues on older cards. Nvidia is just now starting to take advantage of the 600/700 series.

Issues will arise in older hardware as they are not top priority right now.
Nvidia is reviewing the GTX 400/500 series bugs out of pure honest business. IF they really wanted to, they could do what AMD did and start dropping regular support on older cards be it DX10 or 11 on older architectures.

Be happy Nvidia cares about their customers enough to even go out of their way to ask for card donations to try to reproduce issues and solve them. They are paying the shipping fee's both ways at that.

Let's stop the bashing. If you want to use this upgrade your cards.

I don't want to hear this crap about thread resurrection either. There is only one thread dedicated to this so far, and it should stay right here if common sense is to be had.

Looks like a new driver is leaked including shadowplay, Saw a post on the bf3 Battlelog
    forum.

People are reporting that it works like a charm 60 fps 1080p with no slowdowns whatsoever and the output files are much much smaller...

I'll confirm this. I haven;t seen any performance hit while its on.

This is how I have mine set up.
