I would just like to know why there are such big driver file size differences!

For me, well I thought stuff it and copied the Graphics DEM and OpenGL files from the 11.8 preview over the 11.8 WHQL, as well as the newer OpenCL etc from the preview, so am now running a mixed driver. Seems to be working well so far! :)

    Thx asder :)

but i think im going to skip these ver.

Im with 11.8 preview 4.2 opengl and dont have those problems for the moment and im playing f12010, bc2 and dungeon siege 3.

Only fear 3 fonts seems broken, but i fixed it using other dll in the root of the game.

    Update:

    BTW, have anyone noticed this?

Looks like we can paste different driver version under one installer and choose what to install next time?

I don't believe it, these have the changed overdrive like the Previews and the 11.7 developers, so my clocks are ******. back to 11.7's.

Yeah just found that out, so if your on the Previews, i wouldn't bother with these.

    *Waits for the 11.9's.

Hi guys i want to ask something to those who have raid0.
How do you uninstall amd drivers "completely" (using driver sweeper too) ? Well my problem is that if i fully uninstall the drivers, raid0 drivers are uninstalled (and i cant get in the SO) too but i can leave the raid drivers when i choose what to uninstall but can i use driver sweeper then ? wont it delete raid0 drivers too ?

    oh my gosh,
    1) express uninstall drivers
    2) driversweeper
    3) restart
    4) install new drivers

Do you need to remove them completely, all i do is, Programs/Features (Add/Remove if on XP), double-click the ATi Install Manager, select uninstall all ATi, then after the restart, i install the new drivers, id be wary of using Driver Sweeper, as it could remove things it shouldn't, and if it does, you could end up having to reinstall windows, as you won't be able to get any drivers on.

Do custom uninstall and do not uninstall RAID drivers.

    Dont use driversweeper.

Ok so the OGL is still fooked up in my Second Life so yet again i put the 11.4 OGL files into the this package and all is peachy again..

Now for BFBC2.. just played it for about 3 hours non stop and had no problem at all,no hanging like stated in the release notes.. these seem to run BC2 even better,i didnt have any sort of lag at all and they seem to be running BC2 as smooth as butter.. even with fraps running and also i did Atacama desert without any of the lag ppl talk about.

Finally why the fook are u ppl using driver sweeper every time u install new drivers? just go to the control panel, programs and features (win 7) and double click the ATI cat install manager and uninstall all ATI stuff, reboot and install the new ones.. i usually delete all the ATI/AMD folders before i reboot but hey.. its just that easy!

    Cheers.

CIM is a pain in the ass. Drivers should be updatable through device manager just like Nvidia drivers...my pet peeve regarding ATI.

Just remembered, i can download and install the 11.8 driver on its own, so i won't get buggered clocks, as ill still be on the 11.7's CCC, which doesn't have the changed overdrive :)
