    Damn! :eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2:

    149€... 9800GTX performance ... I'm ... don't know ... where's my piggybank?

    Great review btw. But I'm still stunned by this performance and most of all performance/price level. That's amazing!

    Oh well, this'll be my new card! Thank god I had no money when I wanted to buy a 8800GT some weeks ago :D

    Oh, I eagerly await a CrossfireX review (gotta love four of those in one rig :banana:). Allready in sight?

    The HD4850 512 GDDR3 sells here in Holland for around €150. I found one at a store and it would cost me €166 including shipping.

    There will be 2 versions of the 4850: The GDDR3 and the GDDR5 one.

    Definately... the graphics card market really needs competition like this. And having such great performance at these prices really helps PC gaming as a whole. It means ordinary people can get into it, and have a really great experience without spending 6 months income on a GPU! LOL!

    It's a bit too late IMHO, with their victory in the High/Very High end. You would expect them to NOT release a card that is just a bigger version of the previous ones, same GDDR memory gen, same manufacturing size. Lower core speed.

    Damn I had that GTX 280 in my wish list for months, thank god it's not santa that brought it or I would've been disappointed

    Will be buying two 4870 in crossfire, along with a new PSU and 4 GB of ram (already got a fan controller coming in the mail)

    and I'm pretty sure that the two 4870 will be nuking a single GTX 280

    Does AMD have any plans to go 3-way CrossFire? (If they haven't already).

    If the hd 4870 does hit the market here in europe in good numbers for around £200/€350 I can't see nvidia enjoying what's left of the summer, the consumer sure will.

    OMG, screw nvidia, i got 9800GTX in sli, and i just recently sold my 9800GTX, GOOD THING I SOLD IT EARLY BECAUSE i would have ogtten less money form selling, I will wait for 4870X2 instead of crossfire, it will work with my motherboard right?

    thanks
