After reviewing the Radeon HD 5770 in Single Dual and Triple GPU configuration in this review it is now time to review the Radeon HD 5750 ATI's most budget DX11 card available at this time. For the... More...
The price is a bit too high at the moment. On a Dutch site I saw the GTS250 is still a bit cheaper than the 5750 and the 4870 1GB sells for the same price as the 5750. The price of the 5750 there is 129 euro. Hehe.
Must say crossfire scaled awesomely, even beating the 295 in a Hawx and matching it in other titles. Overclockers have the 5750 for £110
I guess it would though funny how the 5770 disappoints by being only as fast as the 4870, but the 5750 surprises by beating the 4850
Hmm, not too great on the single card performance. But Crossfire isn't bad. And it's at a decent enough price to consider it.
but you have to admit the cooler on the 5750 is ulgy lol , where i got my 5770 from the 5750 is £18 cheaper than the 5770 . good review as always
If I recall the 5750 has no software voltage control (read that somewhere) can anyone confirm that? Couple typos and stuff at the end there Core Clock: 836MHz Shader Clock: 950MHz Memory Clock: 5312MHz How are the shader and core clocks different? So we could not push the card much further really as we'd run into issues, but 800~825 MHz seems pretty doable for the 5770 cards. Giving it a really nice boost towards 5770 performance for free. Bold should say 5750.
I fixed the 5770/5750 typo, but the shader thing I'm not sure of. You can't unlink core/shader frequencies on this card? /note, I'm just the editor, not the author.
let me just pop in here and say i LOVE the comparative bar charts you've been compiling. it really puts performance in exact perspective for each card you guys review...this sort of thing is exactly why i come to guru3d first oh and i also really like how strong and well-rounded ATIs dx11 cards are turning out to be. great power consumption/efficiency, and on top of that, this card along with the 5770 makes everything below a 275/4890 redundant and practically "obsolete"! and the prices are sure to drop when gt300 comes around...
The review was excellent as usual but the card is: I think the 5870 is great, but the others are just... so... last gen, if you know what I mean, apart from DX11 and the eyefinity, neither of which I find particularly interesting without the accompanying performance boost.
So in retrospect i can buy 2 5750 put them in xfire and pay $260 from newegg and have better performance then a single 5850 for $275 from new egg?
I have an HP Pavilion a6120n, Asus P5LP-LE motherboard crippled with HP BIOS. The XFX site and the box state the 5750 is PCIE 2.0, but the computer won't boot to diag/POST when the card is powered. Have done all the usual, reseating, different known good monitors, both DVI ports, etc. XFX support finally replied the card is only PCIE 2.1 and I should drop to a 4000 series. I may be missing something, but I thought this would useful information for those with older mobos. Any recommendations on a single, decent card that won't run too hot or require additional cooling would be appreciated. On this system not planning to play much except Guild Wars, Assassin's Creed (maybe II also), and Batman Arkham Asylum. Not pushing the envelope with online fps's. Regards
