Did you do it with nVidia Inspector or are you using the modded 300 drivers?

Latest version of Nvidia Inspector with 301.10 drivers. I never use NVCP for game settings.

Can some one with a GTX 680, try 4x Sparse Grid Supersampling + 4x ingame AA for me, please? Res is 1920x1080.

I'm forcing it with my 480 but performance is pretty poor. However, I absolutely love the look when combined with the Hi-Res textures out there.

    Thank you!

@JBCool - Skyrim with the HD textures and 8xAA/16xAF/FXAA can use up to 1.7 GB on my system at 1920x1200 on Ultra settings so I'm not at all surprised to read that your own GTX 480, with 1.5 GB of RAM, struggles with 4x SGSSAA as it is a resource hog in my experience. You need a lot of memory to use it and it works best in less demanding games such as Mass Effect 3 for example.

I tried SGSSAA yesterday and it makes the game really blurry, even worse than with the ingame FXAA.

something is wrong then imo. it should make everything crisp. especially the leaves of the trees. its awesome in motion, unlike fxaa

SuperSampling works fine tho. But not Sparse Grid.

I'm using 296.10 incase that matters.

Ingame you can notice it a lot more than on the screenshots.

I believe it wasn't always like that. Some Drivers ago i used SGSSAA in i believe DiRT 3 and WoW and it didn't come out like that.

It's quite annoying to play with, it's like you can't get your eyes focused.

If you use SGSSAA then you need to make sure the texture filtering is not set to Clamp and that you're using a negative LOD offset to counter the blurring I believe.

I've only used it with one game, Mass Effect 3, and it works well with that game as even with forced MSAA and TrSSAA you still get jaggies on wall and floor textures (an issue with many Unreal Engine 3 games in my experience where they have lots of 'shiny' surfaces). With SGSSAA you don't get that ugly aliasing or far less of it. I've never seen much point in using SGSSAA in other games though.

Oh, I did use SGSSAA in L.A. Noire too and it got rid of the jaggies on the cars but it only worked with 16x9 resolutions under DX9 and doesn't work with DX11.

Setting to Clamp and Minus LOD Bias doesn't help. Still blurry like as if you got FXAA enabled.

It's not only the Textures that Blur out but also the Antialiasing.

Looka the previous page i posted a GIF Animation between 4x SGSSAA and 4x SSAA.

    EDIT:

    Found the following.

    http://naturalviolence.webs.com/sgssaa.htm

So nothing you can do about the blur.

Does anybody know how to improve this shoreline? Is it an LOD setting or is there a terrain mesh mod? I'm already using Enhanced Distant Terrain and W.A.T.E.R. mods.
