Battlefield 4 in October 2013?

Anybody have a 2.4ghz Core2Duo they wanna bench?? Based on the bottleneck I'm seeing with a 4.6ghz 2500k it ought to be criminal to list such a low clocked a dual core as even a minimum requirement.

Ugh, i got ****ty stuff from my first Battlepack.

 

I don't know how I feel about those battle packs. I guess time will tell.

 

Expect that to be the norm I think. The reason there are tons of different camo patterns in game is to make sure people don't unlock needed attachments from their "earned" battlepacks. Rev up those credit cards boys and girls.

 

Could someone explain Battlepack please.

 

Packs that have weapons, skins, attachments, gadgets, etc that you can earn by leveling up or buy as real money DLC. Also attached to premium purchases and deluxe editions in "golden battlepack" form. Contains randomized gear/loot.

Just went to battleLog actually to check what it was.. I had seen a box with BattlePacks but wasn't sure what it did... now I know..

Battlepacks add an all-new layer of persistence to the multiplayer progression system in Battlefield 4. Through the course of your multiplayer career, you will receive Battlepacks containing random combinations of new camos, dog tags, knives, XP boosts, and more! These items are designed to add customization options to give you more personalization options on the Battlefield.

 

they're there to entice the COD crowd over. I can't blame DICE for wanting to cut in to ActiBliz profits. I doubt it's going to work though as this game is too advanced for the average COD player.

 

I think BF4 should have Hats.... And then!! and then! we can trade those hats with other players..

Ok, just played a couple of rounds, without MSI Afterburner. I only had one stutter in all of the 2 rounds, at the end of round 2, when the scores came up. Game ran pretty much perfect otherwise, everything Ultra, only MSAA x2. Frames were between 50-60 (stock 7950), with occasional drop to 40s after the tower collapsed, but no massive stutters like before.

Can you guys try this and see what you find? Also, this was my 2nd round, as good as it gets for me, really getting the feel for the game.

 

so I installed windows 8 today, went from 40 to 50 with horrible stuttering lag ect on 7 to beautiful smooth 60 to 70 fps on windows 8 :/

Thats all ultra including 4msaa

 

I consider the beta a horrible experience, and 10/11 of my friends have all gotten refunds on their pre buy copies already.
I didnt prebuy cause I was waiting for this massive disappointment..its being compared to Diablo 3 in fail-level comparison.

70 to a over 100 fps on my aging 470GTX. 1280x720 though.
