    My new RAM arrived today.
    G.SKILL - TridentZ RGB Series - F4-3200C14D-16GTZR

With the latest bios I actually made some progress for a change. This RAM actually has a XMP 3200 profile that can be selected. Sadly it would only boot about 40% of the time and was not at all stable. By selecting that same profile, but lowering the speed to 2933 (Auto Timings and Voltage) it boots reliably and has been stable thus far. The timings are abit weird and there may be room to fine tune them, but I ran out of time and am pretty pleased with it for the moment at least. :nerd:

Below are the results of a few games I compared the difference in RAM speed and Game FPS.

    Going from 4.00 Ghz 2133mhz to 4.00 Ghz 2933mhz @ 1080p -

Elder Scrolls Online = +23% (48 to 57 FPS in CPU Bound area)

    Metro 2033 =
    Old: New:
Average Framerate: 96.00 Average Framerate: 96.0
Max. Framerate: 216.45 Max. Framerate: 223.91
Min. Framerate: 7.01 Min Framerate: 13.78

    Civilization VI = +8% (51.8 Avg to 56.2 Avg)

    Hitman Absolution =

I didn't record the results before I reran the benchmark, so I don't recall the Min or Max at 2133mhz.

    Old Avg FPS: 81

    New:
    Min FPS: 70.000000
    Max FPS: 104.000000
    Average FPS: 84.513962

Since it has been good at 4.00Ghz on all cores at 1.35v I will at some point try raising it to 4.1 or so, but for now I'll let it run a few days as is before testing it's upper limits. :nerd:

seems so when the ram timings get ironed out and some fixes patches etc the ryzen review gaming wise will tell a different story this is good to see !

Once they iron out ram things and I can actually use all 4 slots w/o lowering ram speesd I might just get full 64gb kit

Sadly, as someone currently with a 2x16GB kit I purchased with the hope of futureproofing myself in case I needed more, I have my doubts that we'll even see 2 16GB sticks running at their advertised speeds let alone 4.

I'm stuck at 2400MHz right now, even though my RAM is rated for 3200, 2666 doesn't even boot consistently at the 3200 voltages and timings :(

In may we will see. Some Samsung sticks work at 3200mhz. My hynix work only at 2666

This is a 1x16GB stick? Are you sure it's stable at 2666?

Prior to this previous BIOS update to "improve memory compatibility," I was able to boot at 2666 consistently and even thought it was stable as it passed two passes of memtest (which took like 16 hours, otherwise I would have waited to make sure it passed more), yet my PC would shut down during certain workloads (Mad Max specifically crashed it, oddly enough, and with Ghost Recon Wildlands the game would crash constantly but not my computer, although I haven't necessarily confirmed that was the RAM's doing as I haven't tried since dropping to 2400, but Mad Max works fine at 2400)

Nah 2x8gb, works perfect with 2666 but nothing over that. Which sticks do you have?

I got Vengeance LPX. Currently there are only handful that can reach 3200mhz and none of them are this set I have. Most ram kits are not validated yet.

    Have you tried 18-18-18-18-42 @ 2933 Mhz ?

I also got a 2 x 16 GB kit. (G.Skill TridentZ DDR4-3200 C14 DC) I can set it to 2933 MHz with 18 - 14 -14 -14 -34 and so far it works. (it's rated at 14-14-14-14-34) but no matter what I do I cannot get CRF below 18. But I'm confident it will be able to soon. We just need a new BIOS from ASUS.

You got samsung ram I think? While I got corsair sticks with hynix. 1001 bios for me should allow my ram to be set to 2933 with the normal timings of 15 - 15 -15 -15 -3x.

    Hi.. All.

I'm using R7 1700X with Crosshair VI Hero (BIOS v1001)
    and Corsair Vengeance LED 16GB (8GBx2) 3000MHz CL15.

Right now my RAM stuck at 2666MHz 14-14-14-14-30 by
only set DRAM voltage to 1.35v.

    Any advice?

Wait for BIOS, i have Gskill 3200 CL16-16 and can't go beyond 3066MHz ATM
    :nerd:

    But it's fast regardless

Solid rock stable for me is:
    2800MHz CL16-16-16-37 1T 1.4v

Amazon is finally shipping the board.:nerd: Will be here exactly one month after the pre-order was placed. Ram will get here Wednesday as well. Will finally have a fun project this weekend.

Because of being persistent and understanding, the deal struck is netting out to the board actually being free and the 1700X was two dollars off. The :bang: will make the wait worth it.

Can you tell me exactly the model number alongside the timings on the spd and voltage rated ? I would like to know if the are Hynix double sided or Samsung die single sided. Post that info i might be able to help you.

Glad you are happy so far :) , Bios updates makes a huge difference.

Nice to hear that , awesome news free board  , you will enjoy it very much.

    Well , this are my 24/7 stable settings - Ryzen R7 1700x @ 4.2Ghz , memory at DDR4-3200 14-14-14-32 1T , Complete memory information ( Samsung B-die ) G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C15D-16GVR
